    VOIP Issue with router

    hi,
    i downloaded ventrilo server (. http://www.ventrilo.com/ ) application and got it to work nicely, the problem is that when the server is active knocks down the internet, however the ventrilo app. keeps on working evenmore my ISP tells me that they see that the ip address is working but the router is not. On my router all the lights are working (router model Westell 9100EM for FIOS) power, coax, internet & connections to my computer. I have not told to my ISP that I am runing this App. this is something that just realized right know and i have NO clue about it.

    If sombody could share some light on this issue will be greatly appreciated. also im posting here cuz is for online gaming.
