Basically, from what I have read in the past, this card compares to the 8400m gs. I'm thinking current games (minus the hogs of crysis and the such) will run low to mid settings at low resoulutions. Games like CNC 3, COD4, CSS, etc... The newer DX10 games like WIC might be a stretch.

It's much faster than the 8400m gs. It comes very close to the 8400m gt and should be able to play most games at 1280x800 res and low-mid settings. I've played WIC with my x1400 at xga res and low settings smoothly and the 3470 is almost 3 times as fast as the x1400 so I wouldn't worry too much about that.

Thanks. UT3? Portal? Spore I'm guessing will be easy to run. And CeeNote I noticed you want an FW. I only used it for a few days and I highly recomend it. Just do a clean install if possible. Damn Sony and their bloatware.

Many posts about the "upgradability" of GPU's around the forums. This lappy prolly won't and if it was able to it probably wouldn't be worth it.
