    Hello,

I've already posted this issue in the Sony forum and haven't really gotten a solution. So I thought I give it to all you graphic card guru's.

I've got an Vaio SZ5 and I'm having trouble with waking the screen up from when the screen automatically shuts off after a X amount of time. When I have the power plugged in and I put put the computer to sleep and wake it up without the power plugged in, when the computer automatically turns the screen off and I move my mouse to wake it back up it works. But if put the computer to sleep without power plugged in and turn it back on with power, when the computer automatically turns the screen off and I move my mouse to wake it up it wont work. The computer is still running but the screen isn't. The way I come around this is by closing the lid and putting it to sleep and then waking it back up.

This issue does not happen with the intel GPU. I've tried installing new drivers but that didn't seem to fix it. I did the xp downgrade and used the driver supplied by sony and evrerything works but the nvidia graphic card. I have to do a format in the next few weeks.... So maybe that might fix it?!?! I don't know...

Any thoughts? I'm getting really desperate!
