As many of you are probably aware, Nvidia now as the feature to download drivers directly from there site. And for the release for M series geforce notebook graphic cards, "GeForce Release 179", i figured it would work just fine with the Vaio Z 9300m GS. And when I went to the compatibility chart, it showed that the geforce 9300m gs was supported although when i scrolled down, it said: The following notebooks are not supported in this release:
1. Hybrid SLI notebooks (these notebooks will be supported in an upcoming release):
Acer Aspire 7530
BenQ Joybook S42
Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Xi 3650
MSI EX630
Qosmio X305-Q706
Qosmio X305-Q708
2. Dell Vostro notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
3. Lenovo ThinkPad notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
4. Sony VAIO notebooks (please contact the notebook OEM for driver support for these notebooks)
What does this mean? Does it mean that it will be supported in the next release, or will never be supported?

Yeah that's right the two don't go together. You'll still need to use Sony OEM drivers or laptopvideo2go drivers.

but what is currently the best driver software modded or unmodded that I can install for the (soon to be) Vaio Z? What are all the nvidia software such as cuda etc, that i can install on my vaio to have a smoother experience.

You'll probably be looking to get something from the 179 or 18X series off of laptopvideo2go. If it's functionality your after however best you stick to OEM drivers from Sony.

I have a Sony laptop with GF 7400 Go and I use laptopvideo2go drivers 180.00 and everything runs fine.
Sony OEM drivers doesn't offer much functionality (their advance tab sucks). The ones from laptopvideo2go has better options and runs smoother. -
I own a Gateway FX 6860 with a 8800mGTS... and im "supposed" to use mobile drivers that are "supported" by nvidia for mobile users..... but the trick is downloading the drivers you want to try out, and make them custom to your uses by using a modified nv_disp.inf file that lists ur driver... thus allowing you to use the driver with no problem... even if it isnt "supported"
Vaio Z=Incompatible with Nvidia's New Drivers?
