I am not much of a pc gamer and this is the only game I am really interested in.
I just got a new notebook and was wondering if this graphics card would play the game. Its a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100. Thanks in advance for any help.

its a fairly old game. actually came out about 3 years before half life 2 came out. it runs off the source engine. the original source engine that is. im pretty sure that the x3100 could run the game at about medium, maybe even high settings. probably no higher resolution than 1024 x 768. what r ur other system specs? just curious.

Hi I downloaded this game and It tells me I require an extra file to play the game but every time I try to download the file it tells me it cannot connect. Anyone have any ideas?

Try installing direct x 9.0c. If you don't want to install the Directx then at least download the DLL files. it may perform a check for those. I checked the Intel GMA website and the 950 will not play it. So... Here is what i would do... install dx9.0c, then also update your driver with the beta x3100 drivers. Then try it again. If not, I don't know what to tell you...
    Best Wishes,
