    Hello everyone,

So basically I'm looking for people who play Vanguard to respond with their opinion of the game. I used to be an EQ zombie years ago, but finally broke my habit. I recall towards the end of my EQ days everyone was hyped about the release of Vanguard in the future. I'm VERY reluctant to get back into a MMORPG, as they are quite the time siphon, but would be willing to give it a shot if people give good word.

So please, let me know your candid opinion of Vanguard!

Funny you say that, another Sager 5760 (Clevo M570U) owner named Kilim is a Vanguard player.

I think he is hanging around other forums about Vanguard.

It seems like a solid MMO.

I have tried many, never really addicted to any.

    I stick with MMOFPS's over MMORPG's. :)

I unforteanutly own Vanguard, I heard the hype and rushed to get it because I was sick of WOW.

It was EXTREMELY buggy, I would fall through the world all the time. The craftsman builting is slow and tedious.

The graphics were nice when they were not studdering horribly. Sorry to make it sound harsh but it was a complete disappointment to me. I figured on my desktop that was just my old x800 pro unable to keep up. I popped the ram from 1 to 3 gig which hellped a good bit.

Put an x1950 pro in it, still horribly slow. Locations are often hard to find as after you have finished in the area the marker for said location goes off the map, leaving you to figure out where it was by memory.

It has been almost 2 months since I glanced at it, if they fixed the bugs I would happily give it a second chance.

So make sure you have atleast 2gig of ram and a nice video card. I instead have resorted to Lord of the Rings Online. Which is to me basically WOW with a different theme and many of the same features but is enjoyable.

I like how LOTRO has support for in-group voice chat, much easier to organize than giving out ventrilo info and such/

Sorry to make so long but that covers it. If you can get a friend with a copy of Vanguard you can test for yourself that would be ideal!

Any further questions lemme, whatever you decide good luck and good questing!

I play a lot of Vanguard. As previous posters said the game is still buggy. They released this game well before it was ready. Buggy, lacking content, losing subscribers currently.

Sony recently took over from the original development company (Sigil) and many issues are still up in the air.

IMO you would be better waiting a little while to see if the game can grow into a solid MMORPG.

ya ide have to agree with what they said ... the day this game came out i went and got it installed it on my piece of crap desktop managed to get to lvl 22 with a 8 or lower fps all the time which really pissed me off till i finally just uninstalled it because of the bugs .... since i got my new laptop i reinstalled it and its not as bad as what it use to be but its still buggy the only thing i hate about it is it takes about 22gb of hard drive space lol after you install all the patches etc. overall its still pretty fun ... there working on making it more compatible ... lets just say its a VERY graphic intensive game ... if you don't have a good computer don't even think about it.

with the m570u on highest performance option in game i can avg 25-35 fps so its not to bad
