i stuck with 186.81 for ages as they have been the best nvidia has released.
i upgraded to the beta 257.15 but was getting bsod every other log on so reverted back. then i tried the latest whql 257.21 and they have been almost as good. only 1 bsod so far. 3dmark06 had no change in score but my vantage score jumped up almost 1000 points so ive stuck with them since.

Is it just me or do you post this in every nvidia drivers page? Doesn't seem like you gave up at all...

Anyway, tried this and 258.69. Both have similar performances, +- a couple points in Vantage, which don't really mean a thing. I've not noticed any improvements on games with newer drivers, they more or less perform the same, but that may be because I have a 9800m GTS, quite old now.

Thats it...I'm done with these freaking Verde releases....was playing portal(DX8 game guys) and I was greeted with a full GPU based crash, followed by my check of hwmonitor reading 112C...I'm not risking my 400$ GPU on this trash, before this driver I Never even saw 98C,maxed out at 97....
    Installing 195.62 right now.
    "EDIT:"
Idle temps down 10C,max should go that far or more.(from 70-72C to 60 to 61C)
    Use 195.62 drivers,don't use these,they are trash.

There is also a notebook version, Win7 64bit here:
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/notebook_winvista_win7_x64_195.62_whql.html

I used these for quite some time before I came across the 197.45, which I currently revert back to after each newer driver fails to impress. They may not provide absolute best FPS or synthetic scores, but they are certainly above average. Additionally, I have found them to be extremely vibrant, smooth in games, and temps run cooler than most of the drivers I have tested by 3-4 deg. C.

they originate from MSupdate catalog and justinkw1 provides the link for them here:

Just tried 197.16. Gives me random stuttering spikes in GRID and fallout 3.

    So do you recommend 195.62?

wow, as if they have many choices. 10.3, 10.4, 10.5, 10.6. That's FOUR choices. How many does Nvidia have? Btw it's been ages already, where's your G73? It's going to be obsolete soon if you don't get it.

lol getting it in 33 days and anyways , i'm not buying a NVDIA notebook and no ATI new series is comming out till next year so IDK... i'll just use it for 2-3 years and get something else.. anyways , it maxes all games literally so i'm not worried.
