    Hi,

I have a XPS M1730 with a t7700, sli 8700mgt, 2gb ram, vista. I used laptopvideo2go driver 169.09 renaming my gpu's to 8800GTX desktop level for modded INF. I went from 30 fps in 800x600 med quality to 30+FPS at 1920x1200 all medium!!!! No kidding-i was using newest version of fraps. And the gameplya at 1920 is extremely smooth for crysis.

Is there something wrong with my FRAPS that i am getting such unbelivable scores on a Vista machine? I read this game is so graphics intensive, and 8700m only has 128bit bus and Dell ALWAYS cripples their machines a bit, eh?

    Thanks to all

o_O Something seems a lil' strange there. You might be able to get around 30 FPS on 1920x1200, but it shouldn't stay over 30FPS for long.
    Dell didnt cripple their M1530.

The driver's enabled SLI, that's the only reason I can come up with right now.

That happened to me. I have an 8600GT, and when Im playing at 1027x800, I get 22fps, and with 1280x800 I get 29. I think games work better at native resolutions, because I've been seeing this in my other games too.

I have a Vostro 1500 w/ a 8600 GT and I play on 800X600 windowed mode (i'm a multitasker) on all medium except shadows and I get ~50-60 fps (i need my gameplay smooth lol).

It does stay around 30 again at 1920x1200-that is really impressive considering how taxing Crysis is-any M1730 owners who have similar experiences? Also NO overclocking-just new drivers/renaming 8700m-i cant imagine the renaming could make such a difference

And Nvidia website reads it as desktop card-intersting, eh?

SLI was always enabled. The driver just optimized the extra GPU(s).

Great info ogrebattle. I´m, awaiting my XPS M1730 and I must say that SLI in this rig is after all amazing and that the 8700m GT isn´t that crippled after all. Have you opimized the cfg files anything by the way? You can optimize the game even further to get even more framerates actually. Hmm this means you should be able to run the game in High settings at 1440x900. Can you try that and come back with what kind of fps you get oh and also do provide a screenthot.

Cod 4 is great though the replayability is low, once you have finished it you don´t play it again, at least not me. It was the same with Cod 2, no replayability. Though Crysis has a huge replayability since you can adopt different tactics each time you rerun it, take other paths etc etc.

Great so if a 8700gt sli notebook can run crysis on high at 1440*900 then I guess that a 8800m gtx can handle high/very high !? uhm... fishy...

Actually, I'm beating it again on Veteran. I beat it the first time on 360, and now back on PC.
