    can you do it,and is there a real point in doing? Like does doing it over USB even give you any performance increases over the IGP in the laptop at all?

    There's USB to DVI adapters which are slow even for basic screen refeshes. In short, you wouldn't use USB 2.0 for performance graphics.

    If you are wanting to attach fast graphics to the x100e then do a mPCIe DIY ViDock mPCIe setup. I've done that with my 2510P. The Setup 1.x software overcoming the HP imposed whitelisting as well.
