I've downloaded numerous drivers from gateway and nvidia. I got the 176.5 64 bit driver and installed it. Since I've done this I've had problems with the video driver failing. It also has been changing the resolution on my screen at the start of a program. Is there a different driver I should install? Do I need to change some settings somewhere? What should I do?

Uninstall your video drivers and install notebook drivers directly from Nvidia. Make sure to choose GeForce drivers for your respective Operating System (XP or Vista).

Don't use nvidia drivers, they're rubbish for performance.
