I know its one of my first posts, but I know so many people were having this problem and after THREE hours I finally got it and i felt so stupid, so hopefully this saves a bunch of guys heartache.

    1. Delete old drivers using add/remove programs (at least in vista I did).

2.. Get the modded inf files from laptopvideo2go (can be found in the thread about 169.04, dunno if I'm allowed to post links yet).

3.. Go to Nvidia get the INTERNATIONAL version of the driver you want.

4.. Extract it, but DON'T install yet.

5.. Replace the inf file in the laptopvideo2go ones with the one you extracted. Unmarked = xp, vista 32 = vista 32 bit, vista 64 = 64 bit. Version 169.12 (I'm using) doesn't have a windows XP counterpart yet as it just fixes some 8800 gt issues with sleep/hibernate (nothing we have to worry about, but I got em a anyway and they work incredibly).

    6. Install, restart, and then check to see if they work (device manager properties or run -> dxdiag).

Hope this helped, everyone I've helped with so far says it works. I believe the inf files from laptop vid 2 go were based on international files.

    Hello all

Is this the proper version for the 169.12 drivers? This is the version it says in dxdiag.
