Most likely an 8400M GS or 8400M GT.

I dont think Sony carries a machine superior to the 8600M GT so that would be the max you can hope for

Sony has a new model with a Radeon 4650 and another one with a Radeon 4570 on the way.

9600GT in the higher end of the AW series. You seem to only be familiar with the past generation on Sony notebooks (FZ, CR, SZ etc), and now the FW and AW.
These are the top cards you can get with them.
    AW: 9600GT
    FW: 4650 (previously it was a 3650)

If you want to know what is in your preciously on vista:
    Right click the desktop
    Go to personalize
Then display settings and it should say what it is there (on the same page/screen as your resolution options)

That would be the logical step, 9300M GS -> G 105M, but who knows... The SR series has jumped from 3470 to 4570, that's quite a jump in performance! But the Z is probably too slim for such an upgrade.
