    hi

    anyone know whats the fastest virtual PC that also got 3d (directx) support ? i want to test some windows 98 games on it and i dont want to repartition my computer.

    vmware workstation. It has direct x 9c support. You'll need to install the vmware tool. You can also use the unity mode so you can launch the game just like an application installed on your primary comptuer.

    VMware is better to say the least with a emulated S3 GPU

    but what games?

    I use DOSbox for DOS games, and the Compatibility Mode (Windows 98) works pretty good on old games like Red Alert.

    Its all u need for old games, any game newer than dos prolly can run on vista.
