    Vista Compatibility?

    Hi there!

    I am planning on buyin a laptop with the wonderful 8600MGT and a Santarosa CPU with Vista.

    I want to use mainly Photoshop and Such applications, but I really want to play Lock On and Rome:TW at 100%. IS there any compatibility issues with Vista and older games?

    There are problems with some older games. Heck even some newer games have problems with vista. A few have patches that make it work. Some dont work at all for some people.

    I have played TW: Rome and TW: Medieval II and found it to be working with Vista.

    BTW: Any performance issues with Vista on RTW?

    No performance issues. Dont worry about performance with your system. RTW is a few years old. It will run great even if Vista takes 10% performance. I only played RTW in XP with an older laptop and RTW under Vista with my new one so i cant compare them. But my laptop is weaker then yours. I only have a x1400 and it still runs pretty good. I have the Barbarian Invasion add on but I never used any custom add ons.

    I never played Lock ON sorry.

    Thanks a lot Wave! I have always wanted to play RTW, cos the videos at youtube, and specially the new 300 film make it really appealing
