I have Windows Vista Business and am trying to get the game pack (solitaire, chess, hearts, etc.) working, but can't. For those of you that don't know, Vista Business doesn't come with the games. Is that because the games require the Media Center capabilites? In each game folder is a file called *Gamename*MCE, and I'm wondering if the MCE is Media Center Edition. Anybody have any idea how I can make these games work?

I've tried running each game, it's shortcut, and it's .exe.mui file as an administrator, but that doesn't work on anything. Do I need some program to run the .exe.mui files?

Wow, I knew they weren't going to support gaming in certain editions of Vista, but I never thought that included the old stanbys like solitaire!

OMG! How could they not have included Solitaire and Minesweeper in the BUSINESS edition? Doesn't MS know that 99% of employees in all business rely on those application for survival? They would have all committed suicide or gone insane due to stress if not for those programs! Big mistake Microsoft.

Nope, those games are not included in Business, and I can't get them to run now that I've gotten them from Ultimate. Anyone have any ideas?

I just found out that in other versions of Vista, there's data in the C:\programdata\microsoft\windows\gameexplorer that there isn't in Business. I just put all the data I could get from Ultimate into the proper folder, but still no games are executing. This is ridiculous.

That's pretty lame. Do you know if games will work at all on Vista Business? I've got a copy of Vista Business arriving for my laptop and would be dismayed if no games work on the Business edition.

I honestly haven't tried installing any games, though I can't imagine that they wouldn't work - but I never would have thought I couldn't get Solitaire to work. I'll try installing a game here in a minute and get back to you guys. Can anyone try to search their computers for anything that has to do with the Game Explorer and get back to me?

OK, well Need for Speed Carbon does not work. I just installed it, it started playing and then crashed on the menu screen.

    Hi Guys,

    1. Go "Program and Features" in Control Panel.

    2. Click "Turn Windows Features On or Off".

    3. Check the box beside "Games".

    Done

    I'm running Vista Business too.
