Will old rpgs like Fallout 1&2, Icewind Dale 1&2, Baldur's Gate 1&2 run on Vista Home Basic? Is 512 MB RAM enough to play those games smoothly and is Vista Home Basic similar to WinXP?
I am asking because I found a nice Lenovo laptop that comes with Vista Home Basic.

I would think that Vista Home Basic would require the 512MB RAM, and thus gaming would be difficult if not impossible on this machine.

OK Thanks for the quick reply, wasn't thinking of going with Vista anyway...

Those games ran on a p 266 with 32 megs of ram. I have a feeling they'll be just fine on any machine made after 1998. Sure it's "gaming" but it's not 3d or memory intensive.
