I'm about to order a new laptop and I have the choice of getting it with either a 2GB or 4GB Robson Turbo Memory II chip. After hearing about how much of a gimmick ReadyBoost was, I'm wondering if the same can be said about "Turbo Memory"? I figured I could get the opinions of people here who've had experience with it.

........Turbo Memory modules use Ready Boost and Ready Drive, though i cant rate the performance of Robson 2.0, i can say that its predecessor does nothing significant ( i have 3gbs of ram and if youre gaming you should too ).

man i didnt know the 4gb turbo memory was out yet... i have the 1gb turbo memory with 4gb of ram and i notice about a 10 second boost in boot speed... i cant really say anything for in windows speed up the biggest thing i noticed was boot time improved. If those 4 gb turbo memory modules will work with my M1330 i'll be getting one asap.

I'll have 4GB of DDR3 ram in my new rig. If I don't have to spend an extra $45 on a dubious burst of speed, then I won't.

You dont need ITM; you may find a small increase in boot time ( an above poster claimed 10 seconds ) but i dont think you need it; the only reason i have mine on is because it HAD to come with the laptop i chose.
