Should i install Vista on my laptop ? ( Look at sig ) I have a spare Vista.( Number & Disk ) But i am too afraid it will kill my gaming. I don't game much because i have a old computer. But i'll probably game alot more with my new one.

I would definitely get the 7800 and I would install XP since you only have a dx9 GPU and lower RAM. But for the difference between Vista and XP, that will change as more updates come out and as coders develop better code more suited to how Vista wants things done.

If you're happy with XP, there's no reason to install Vista. You'd just be giving yourself a few hours of work.

I have a spare tire, but I still use the 4 tires that came with my car.

Why go through the hassle if it's not going to do anything?

When I think Vista, I always think about SuperFetch. Otherwise, I don't see any advantage at all over XP.
