    Vostro cant install 169.01

    Hello all!!

    I just recieved my vostro today! I reinstalled windows and is installing all the drivers. i downloaded the nvidia driver from (i did not install dell's video driver) http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15707 . when i tried to install it, a thing poped up saying

    the nvidia setup program could not locate any drivers that are compatible with your current hardware. setup will now exit

    what happened?? :confused:

    my laptop's spec are as follow
    T7250, 8600GT 256mb, 2GB ram, vista business 32bit

    any help is appreciated!

    I downloaded mine from somewhere else. I'm at work right now so I can't get you the link, but I'll try to find it for you when I get home. They have a "tweaked" version that I installed which included the necessary .inf file in the install package (or so I assume since I didn't have to dl one separately).

    Installed it on my Inspiron 1520 (same diff) and it bumped 3d06 from ~3220 to ~3341. I haven't seen any problems running it with source games like I did with the original lappy driver, either.

    I'll try to get back to you later today.

    Did you replace the .inf file with the modded .inf?
