i know this game was plagued with bugs when released but i'm wondering if all the issues have been fixed with latest patch? also the official patch is 1.2 but was wondering if i should install unofficial user-made patch instead and if so which ones? thanks.

There are tons of unofficial patches for Bloodlines, the latest: v5.3. Each version of the patch fixes particular glitches/problems and improve gameplay/some other aspects of the game, so it's best that you install them all and up to the latest v5.3

You have to install the official v1.2 patch first, then install the unofficial patch.
