Hi,
So I have a W3J with an ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 and I decided to try Battlefield 2 since it's the type of game I like and I figured it could really make use of everything inside my computer. Unfortunately, the game has major issues which make it unplayable. At the medium video options setting shadows look awful and I get occasional artifacts and freezes. The game will stop for four or five seconds then load back up (with me usually dead). Sometimes the game will cause the computer to freeze completely requiring a hard restart. The pertinent specs are as follows:
Core 2 Duo T7200
1gb RAM
ATI Mobility Radeon X1600 with Catalyst 6.10 drivers
Plugged into a fast moving cable connection
Any other experiences with BF2 on the W3J or solutions would be appreciated. I'm gonna try to reinstall the game and play with the drivers.

It shouldn't be doing this because I can play BF2 at medium settings fine. You can try upgrading your video drivers.

what version are you running? 1.4 is the latest patch. also update your vid drivers, before I did I had major problems with graphics issues.

The Omegas + a reinstall did the trick. Running (a bit hot but) everything is on high mode and looks good. This game is pretty sweet
