Been playing the weekend preview, and it's crashed 4 times in under 2 hours. I believe it's because my driver keeps crashing and recovering, because it says the driver has done that in the icon on the bottom right of my start bar. Will installing a new driver fix it?

Did you OC the card and if so with what software? Sometimes that causes the problem. Also try monitoring your temps (guess you already dit that).

Question for you tough: How does it run on the 8600M GT? Which settings ? Reslolution ? Etc etc .

    Much apriciated.

    Thanks.

No OC, but I wasn't checking my temps. They shouldn't be going any higher than normal anyway. I have yet to overheat this card (stays in the 80s when under load, which is normal for an 8600 on a MBP.) I'm playing at 1280x760 or something like that, on High Quality and it runs nicely. Obviously there's a hiccup here and there when loading or lagging, etc. But that's to be expected in an MMO, especially in beta. Going to get a driver off lv2g, anyone have a recommendation for this game?

To be fair, this is still (late) beta...

However, this is just like Conan's release so far.

Not even close. Days prior to release, Conan had massively insane memory leaks. This is a month before release, and the crashing is a result of server stress tests, not faulty coding.

Been playing the closed beta for over a month, and while it's not rock solid, it's **** close. A far cry from any comparison to AoC.

For those have troubles, update...update your video drive...I have a 2 year old driver and before update I have holes on my characters. Now after update, it looks mighty fine :). No crash what so ever and I am using a laptop with 7600 go.

Sorry, I had no issues with AoC at release... it was a few patches LATER that the memory leaks became apparent.

Like I said... WAR is still beta...
I honestly do hope they work everything out.
