Ok, so I go to wal-mart today and see warhammer online sitting on the shelf screaming "BUY ME!". So I get it, come home and install it. I then go to create an account... All goes well until after I put in my game code, and put in my desired username and pass... (Note: The game comes with 30 days free!), Then it asks for a payment method... I choose "Game Time" card, then it asks me to put in a game card code..? Note: There were only two options.. Credit Card, and Game time card, no "Pay Later" or anything option... So I'm stuck putting buying a game card, or conning someone for their credit card info... D: What's up with this? Why do i have to buy the game AND a game time card?? It clearly states it comes with 30 days..? Please help me find a way around this.

    Thanks in advance,

    COLDFACE

Uh, yeah I found that really weird too... luckily I was able to use a credit card. I couldn't find a way around it either... don't think there is one.

Ya... i realize you have to pay monthly, but if you have ever played WoW, you know that this is a bit weird. Plus, i mainly just wanna see if I like the game first, I think its stupid they're forcing you to pay for a subscription before you even get to try with you FREE 30 DAYS! :[

The Warhammer Beta was out like a month ago, and you could test it out for only $1 . . .

They charge your credit card after the 30days are up.

You get the 1st months free, but they do force you to set up a recurring payment plan before you can begin using your free 30 days. You won't be charged until after the 30 day trial period is over, but they want to have it ready for midnight on day 29 if you forget. If you don't want it, just punch in your information and go back and hour later and make sure you cancel your recurring subscription.

Think of it as a free 30 day trial once you commit to a monthly recurring subscription.

All MMOs do this I believe, Age of Conan did this and probably others.

Yeah Tailic is absolutely right. All mmos require billing information to be put in prior to your free month. You will not be charged until a month after your information is in. If you don't like the game just cancel your account before the month is over and you will not be charged anything.

Hmm, I didn't realize that. In all the past MMOs I have played, I didn't have to put in any credit card info. Well, I guess I haven't played AoC. But every other MMO I have ever played, I have not given any credit card info... D: I don't like this new crap.. This has pretty much ruined my WAR hype, guess I might just stick with WoW a while longer. :\

WAR is fantastic, well worth the 15 a month imo. It also runs great on my laptop Im running with everything on high but I took off specular lighting and lightmaps. I have no stutter at all and the framerate stays a constant 30-40 fps.

I played WoW, had it within weeks of release, and you had to enter a credit card to play when that first came out even though you had the free month. In UK at least.
