    I have looked at many reviews of this but when i look at the facts not opinion i see the ATI killing the NVIDIA???

    You've got to understand that Nvidia GPU architecture and ATI GPU architecture are different. Mhz and stream processor counts are only a good indicator of performance compared to the same company's GPU units, not each other's.

    Right now, the ATI seems to perform better based on 3DMark06 scores, but 3DMark06 doesn't tell you what ACTUAL FPS in a game will be, it is just a general indicator. Regardless, there are very few, if any, ATI 2600's out there right now, I haven't heard of a single person on this forum even owning one. We just won't know for sure until we see someone get one in their computer and actually run some in-game benchmarks.

    if they perform like their desktop variants, than 8600GT outperforms the 2600xt

    I would say ATi, just because of what they have always done. NVieda's 7400 is not as good as ATi's X1400. Etc. So, i say HD 2600XT
