I mainly play skirmishes or LAN anyhow. I only get my butt handed to me on battle.net anyhow.

Us Asians already have widescreen built into our eyes, but 1920x698 is insane. That's definately dual monitor resolution right there.

They're thinking the first part sometime in 2010, but with Blizzard you literally never know.

I don't even think about Starcraft 2. When it goes gold, then I'll get excited. Otherwise don't worry about it. My guess would be they will end up trashing a large part of the code to improve it more, setting them back another 6-9 months. They are perfectionists, which is good and bad. Although being the corporate entity they are now they may be pressured to release it sooner than later.

But let's not turn this into a Starcraft 2 thread. There's plenty of those around. :)

doesn't sound like it... battle.net kicks you from multiplayer games if you try this.... sounds purely for single player.

For single player and local LAN it should be perfectly fine. But don't use it with Battle.net. Sounds like not only will it get you kicked, but possibly banned.

Hmmm, I wasn't able to get it to work. Maybe it's because I'm using 64-bit Windows.

Anyone else get it to work?

That's pretty amazing. I haven't been able to make it work either.

Maybe i'm not hard core enough but... why would this be cheating? It just gives you a wider screen right? so what?

Cheating if for multiplayer because you can see more than the opponent. But for single player and LAN it's no big deal. I can't get it to work though.
