The higher end Sager and ASUS Laptops will do it for you... They are within your price range exactly too, Check out www.xoticpc.com or www.gentechpc.com
I don't really think there's a choice for shipping your going to have to have it shipped over.

    I recommend the ASUS W90vp-A1
    or Sager hmmmm

forgot to say if you use dox nvidia drivers (182.46) you can gain a 10 fps on crysis, but some game like FIFA 09, you get realli weird graphics like zombie.

Just to give an idea, flbroker G50vt-A2 get 3dmark vantage mark around P3100

When I ge the system a first the benchmark is about the same in the P3100, then I install a lot of things compiter, database (I run 2 database on my laptop: oracle XE + SQL server 2008). I have a total of 120 process, then benchmark drop to P2950

But when I install Dox drivers, the benchmark goes up to P3300 (using 4x AF and 2x AF)

Thus if you don't install a lot of things (I have install about 200 programs), it can run pretty good, maybe around P3500 benchmark

... Hahahahahaha. 2000-2500 AUD? Might be quite tough. Australia's a real when it comes to putting taxes on technology, or so it's seemed to me so far. Was thinking of picking up an Alienware from down under, but noooooo. They had to charge twice the price the US site did for the exact same product.

If you change your mind and want to look for something cheaper, my Gateway FX with an 8800m GTS plays Crysis on near-highest settings with a smooth framerate when I overclock the card.

Of course, that Asus is a beast :)

Yes but most people don't know that.... They search on google for those laptops or browse the sites I linked.... Theyre not going to go OH! all of these sagers are clevo's duh
On the site's they are labeled as Clevo or Sager... I was just trying to make it more consumer friendly text

Just because people want to test their computer tech... Not because it's an amazing game (in truth its really kind of buggy, a better game to test your computer against is Far cry 2)

Plug for Gateway FX. I don't have anything overclocked and I can play it on medium/high settings and it's beautiful. You can get the P-7801u for around $1200 + shipping.

True, Gateway FX are amazing, but the Asus W90 will last WAY longer...

Come on, Medium/High vs ALL VERY HIGH 1920X1200

asus g50vt series. i dont know if they have best buy in australia but they have good deal for 900 bucks u get a solid laptop with a 9800gs. my friend has it and it plays crysis maxed eveyrthing and he never dipped below 30 fps but he did have a low res cause the screen is 1330 x 768 or something like that. but its just a thought. still looked great though.
