    evryone on laptop 2 go is still saying they are having downclocking issues. i dont want to disable powermiser as this is the wife's system and i want the better battery life.

    can someone tell me the best stock non-oc'ed driver right now she will not be overclocking. i am running the dell release 174.31 right now. seems okay so far i just upgraded from 167.xx available from windows update

    These drivers aren't good.

    They are causing downclocking I believe... As TF2 starts slowing down to unplayable framerates about 10 minutes in.

    Going back to .23 or whatever.

    Wow. This is the first driver since 174.16 that DOESN'T downclock on my system. All the others start to downclock after about 30Secs of game play. I haven't disabled PowerMizer either, so right now I'm really happy. Huge increase in dx10 performance in WiC for me.

    Has anyone tested 177.35 on an SLI laptop with Vista32 Premium?

    One problem I found with some of the newer nvidia drivers is a BSOD when attempting to recover from sleep / hibernate mode. As a result, my Dell XPS M1730 is still stuck with v175.16 drivers.

    I freakin knew it! It`s Vista!
    Vista won`t allow me to create custom resolutions for my 7950GTX, I`ve reinstalled XP and man, it flies next to vista.
    These drivers are awesome now :D

    You are able to write this as your desktop specs in your sig:

    Q9450 @ 3.7ghz 1.41v || CPU Liquid Cooled(120mm Rad / Modded AW block) || Evga 780i Sli || 1000watt PSU
    Dual Evga 8800GTX Sli @ 650/2000 || 4GB Gskill 1066 CL-5
    2 Raptor X 10,000rpm RAID 0 || 2 Seagate 500GB 7200rpm RAID 0
    Hanns G 28" 1080p HDMI LCD Monitor 3ms
    3dmark06: 19, 129

    But.. you are unable to determine if a regular forceware driver will work on your PC? :confused:

    Let me think about this for a moment.. Something does not compute..

    I was wondering because it officially does not support my card being its only for the gt200 and g92 based cards, however i have heard the driver without the physx driver will work and gives a good performance boost, so i was hoping someone with a g80 based card could tell me if it works for sure or not, sorry i made it sound like a dumb question

    3Dmark comparisons (1280x800, 625/530 overclock)

    174.74 - 4604
    177.26 - 4668
    177.35 - 4666

    The 177 series runs Mass Effect extremely well, but Dawn Of War has a very serious stuttering issue with these newer drivers.

    Haven't tried on my laptop 8600m gt ddr2, but i tried on my desktop 9800gtx and they give an amazing performance increase in vista.

    Benched with Devil May Cry 4.

    Soulstorm. The framerate stays above 60, but the screen lags when I scoll around. I have the issue with both 177 drivers, but not with the lower series.

    I just tried the 177.39 but I'm having really strange issues with my CPU (T7700) now. It seems to be using 1 only core since I installed the drivers - most noteable my 3dmark cpu score dropped from around 2100 to only 900!

    Completely weird I know, I already uninstalled the Ageia PhysX stuff, but it didn't help. Tried some games (UT3 and CoD4) and they run as before or even a little faster, but I'm not sure if they even support multiple cores and thus this issue doesn't have any effect on them.

    Anyone else experiencing the same`?

    I'm on XP Prof, however as I wrote above my 3dmark CPU score was more then double before, so I guess it used to utilize both cores before...

    hey nattfoedd, make sure your laptop isn't in powersave mode. I mean, that's a huge drop.

    Right now I'm using 169.12 for my 8600M GT. I like them and never given me any problems but I am always up for anything to give better performance. Any ideas on better drivers that are also overclockable??

    Powersave wasn't enabled, however after changing the RMClock throttling settings I'm getting my old ~2100 CPU score again... Not totally sure if these settings have been changed by the driver, but I can't imagine, so it's still a little strange to me.

    You guys really shouldn't use 177.39 until the lv2go heads have a few days to test it out for us.
