Hi, I have a slight problem with my dell latitude d820, whenever I go into a game full of people I tend to freeze up when theirs high action (Guns shooting, etc) I know alot about computers but not much about GFx cards or so unless somebody has a fix for this then you can post below.

    ANYWAYS...

I am selling my latitude and my desktop (hopefully) to get a new computer, I have picked out this one because it has a nice nvidia GeForce 9300m GS GFx card so I take it thats pretty good since my desktop has a 6150. Heres the link for the laptop >>> http://www.dell.com/us/en/business/.../pd.aspx?refid=laptop-vostro-1520&s=bsd&cs=04 can anyone tell me if this is a good lappy for CSS and big games like zombies?

    THANKS!

CSS is pretty old but I don't know if a 9300 is going to cut it...

Again since CSS is old I can't say for sure but the 9300m isn't really meant for games.

9300M GS will work fine for the CS:S.

The Valve games actually require a decent CPU as well, but the 9300M GS will be fine.

Note that the 9300M GS is slightly faster than the 8400M GS discussed in this thread.

Or look at the CS:S section here.

I can't guarantee that you won't get any "uber lagging", but it's definitely playable. lol

Counter-Strike: Source plays comfortably on an Intel 4500MHD. The 9300M GS will do just fine, although it's a very low-end card.

Source engine relies heavily on the CPU, rather than the GPU, so i would focus on that too

I play CSS frequently on my 8400 GS, so anything current should be more than capable.

The 550, 700, and 750 options are all going to work a lot better than the 9300m. Each of those choices is good value for the money. (550 < 700 < 750)

I'll look it up. Thought I had earlier. My bad.

Here you go. Run on a Sony Z with the following specs.

    Sony Vaio Z WN/B
    CPU: 2,4 GHZ
    Graphic: 9300m GS 256 MB
    RAM: 4GB DDR3
    HDD: 250GB 5400rpm

Probably more lying around, but that's one I came across.
