Ok, i really don't know if someone has posted this before .. my intention is to colaborate but if this is really old a mod can erase it :)

I haven't make any discover .. just take it from inCrysis forum.

To have a better performance @ crysis all you have to do is to run the game with DX9 but before we have to make a little modification to the CVARS

    A) Fin the file "sys_Spec_full.cfg" in your crysis folder

    B) Back up the sys_Spec_full.cfg in case you're note satisfied with the result, then edit the file and replace the content with this :

    C) Save the file and then create another shortcut for crysis in your desktop and add to the command line the word -dx9

    D) Run Crysis with everything @ High settings and enjoy ... the only difference you will notice is that the blur effect has been reduced to min or med even if it says "high"

Running the game with GPU stock clocks and the CPU @ 2.4 i have in quiet places of the jungle 40-45 fps and 38 in light battles .. in hard battles maybe 30

I hope this can be useful to everyone here =)

Its like VHigh DX9 mode, this is how I played the game when it first came out and DX10 drivers were immature, but now after driver optimization has taken place it is running faster in DX10 for a lot of people.

If you really want more fps there are a ton of custom configs that can do a lot more than this simple edit, Cubans Crysis config is the most popular one.

Thanks for your responses .. what i want is to conserve graphic quality without sacrificing FPS (maybe sound utopic) but this tweak has make it .. i would like a little more of blur effect but with DX9 is not possible.

I will check both of those cfg's you recommend :D

EDIT : OK , i found the latest Cuban's "CFG" but the CFG is in fact a patch for the game ... looks like is more complex that just modifying a few CVARS so they make a compilation.
