I have a problem with warcraft 3 running on my laptop. Most of the time im using external LCD monitor to play warcraft 3 when I am at home, however when I go to my friend's house I have no choice but to use my widescreen laptop monitor. In that case, wacraft 3 stretches horizontally and it makes my playing time very uncomfortable. Is that a way to not make it stretch horizontally, and instead have black bars on the sides?

WC3 does not work on widescreen, there has yet to be a patch or driver which enables widescreen. You can, however, edit the registry to make it non-widescreen.

It lets you put it in a widescreen resolution, but it's not actually widescreen; it just stretches the display. There is currently no way to run WCIII in true widescreen. At least this fix lets you keep it in your native resolution, so it's a bit quicker to alt-tab and looks a little crisper.

I tried the WideScreenGaming forum workarounds for WC3 a few months ago. It did not work well, and the stretched res gave me headaches.
