Today, Warface is entering a new stage.

After a lot of planning and preparation, we are ready to announce what represents a major turning point in the development of Warface. We want you, our community, to be the first to know that as of today, Warface will be joining the Steam family and opening its Beta doors to an even wider audience.

    What does it mean?

After Warface enters the world of Steam, we expect a large influx of new players. This will help not only fill the channels on all servers, but also increase interaction on forums and open new perks for you veterans – such as the veteran title tag for all of you on the new Warface website platform and a veteran stripe in game once it‘s ready.

To each his own I guess. I dunno, but it just felt too much like Call of Duty (not the first one)...

Gave it a try yesterday. I didn't like how teammates in co-op kept moving in front of me or block my path to get the kills - makes me wish they'd turn FF on. Teammates can even sort of nudge you and affect your aim.

I'm also not a fan of buying equipment with expiration times, especially when it's real money, but it's up to the player. It's even worse when the equipment with custom skins has the expiration like their Brazil world cup themed weapons.

The game scratches that military shooter itch without having to pay, but there's nothing else that makes it preferable over Battlefield, Arma, or COD.

I used to play it when it used to be in browser. That was a really cool feature that added uniqueness to the game. The co-ops were hard as hell, and you really needed a balanced team to get far. Apart from that, prydless basically said what needed to be said. It's a generic free to play shooter with a lot of shoe polish.

LOL I tried that a few years ago. It was so awful. It was basically a stripped-down BF2 with 32 players and a couple neutered maps that they monetized the hell out of. You had to grind or pay in order to commandeer anything but the most basic vehicles.

agree, that was total crap indeed.
this actually isnt that bad. it sure has come a long way since the alpha stage.

the buying of coins to upgrade does put you off though but i guess as its a free to play game they have to make their money somehow.
