    Warhammer Online CTD Problem

    This is a pretty widespread problem (Google it), and I know this is a FOB MMO, so I don't expect crispness out of the box, but this crash-to-desktop problem is completely killing my enjoyment of the game.

    There's not much to describe, I can successfully play the game for anywhere between 15-45 minutes, and for no reason whatsoever, the game crashes and sends me back to the desktop. No error message, no error log, nothing.

    I'm currently running Vista Business x86, have used 2 different drivers, 169.09 (old trusty) and 177.xx (new hotness). I've tried the supposed solution of changing the name of the "user" file. And I've tried the game at various settings. So far nothing has worked, so if any of you playing this game has also run into this problem, or has solved this problem, please help me brainstorm what could be causing the CTDs.

    Other than that, I think this is a pretty good MMO - though I do tend to play MMOs solo. Yes, I'm weird like that.

    Interesting. I have the M1530 (specs in signature) and have it installed on the Vista x64 Ultimate OS. I dont remember which drivers i installed for video, but right now device manager is saying they've nVidia, version 7.15.11.7493.

    That being said, did you install it from the retail DVD's or did you download it prior (Beta, then turned full version)? Either way, I've had no issues with the game so far. My OS was loaded by me, not from factory not using the original Admin ID. I created a new user ID so I could log in with the ID I wanted :) I always do that though, nothing to do with the game. Maybe you still have User Account Control turned on? I hate UAC, so I always blame it till its turned off :)

    Just bought the game tonight, downloading the latest patch now. Hope i don't have these issues. Game looks promising.

    Its a little odd for me to go from playing World of Warcraft (cartoony environment) to something like Warhammer. Other than that, I really enjoy Warhammer so far. I wish my M1530 with the 8600m could play at higher resolutions, but it definately has better graphics than WoW so I didn't expect to be able to play full detail at 1920x1200 like in WoW :)

    There are still a few bugs (its new... so its to be expected), but for the most part, nothing takes away from gameplay.

    Count yourself lucky. When I PvP (the first zone, nordrend or something like that), occasionally my pc will crash and reboot by itself, as if someone pulled the battery out and put it back in. Which didnt happen, because its clipped in and sos my AC.

    My temps never got higher then 75 as well
