WCCF is hosting a huge poll right now
http://wccftech.com/official-wccf-hardware-poll-2016/
With over 6k votes so far, 37% of voters are picking up the RX 480, 17% are waiting for Vega and GP102, async importance is about split, 62% don't like dual GPU setups, 46% won't upgrade their CPU this year, 40% will upgrade to Zen, and 86% won't be purchasing this generation of VR tech split between those that are not interested in VR at all and those waiting out this generation.
Go take the poll. The RX 480 results don't surprise me but the reaction to Zen does. Only 13% plan to upgrade in the Intel camp!
On top of that only 20% have committed to upgrading to nVidia while 54% have committed to AMD. Only 8% have decided not to upgrade their GPU this year.
Pretty interesting data, can't wait to see how it closes out. So far it looks like AMD is taking nVidia and Intel to the cleaners.

that would be quite a change in the gpu and cpu market, lets hope the voters stand true to their commitment shown in the poll

Well I can understand the 480 but Zen? I'm not so sold. I mean I'm looking at the 480 myself but by the time I'm ready to upgrade I'm probably going to be holding off to see Vega and GP102. I don't want to upgrade again for awhile and it needs to be a worthwhile upgrade over my 780 Ti.

I look forward to the launch of Zen, I hope it's a good launch but I wont bet anything on it.

of course Zen! naturally, the proclaimed performance boosts have to actually come true, but if they do, its gonna be a sweet CPU gen from AMD, and about time at that as well
-
Summit Ridge FX + Vega, since they'll come out about the same time

killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
You guys, HL3 confirmed!
If I'm gonna upgrade my GPU this year, I'm gonna see what AMD has in €400ish range first and then decide. -
-
Look at the VR response, lol. 85% either waiting or not interested at all.
-
I probably won't ever be able to use VR because of my astigmatism anyway so it doesn't affect me.
Of course my roommate bought into the Batman VR kool-aid and is dead set on buying the PS VR to play it.Porter likes this. -
Putting a couple of displays right before my eyes wont improve my already not-so-great vision. I'll pass on it.

I can think of much better things to spend $700 on than a VR headset.

Star trek "Holodeck" style VR is the only thing I would be interested in. Honestly I don't see it happening in my lifetime so I'm just going to pass on it.
Heck I can't stand wearing any glasses on my head for 3D I sure as heck am not going to wear these huge goggles. Plus I change my screens all the time, different resolution, refresh, type of screen etc. With current VR you are stuck with what you have. Also I have family/friends watch me play, can't do that with VR either. Just too restrictive for how I use my machines. -
