I've been playing borderlands for a while now, but ever since this morning, it get this weird artifacting everywhere. I haven't done much since the last time playing it, except trying out ati tool and installing Steam, TF2 and Starcraft. Any idea why it's happening? It doesn't occur in Prototype or TF2, which is strange, nor do any artifacts come up on ati tool.
Here's a screenshot of someone else with the exact same artifacting:

It only occurs slightly above ground, no where else. If you look down or up, it's gone.
Also, changing graphic options doesn't do anything.
EDIT: No overheating either, gets to a max 70C while gaming, idles at around 50.
Anyone have any idea what's happening?

Borderlands was rushed to the sale floor. Many people (including myself) have various graphical or audio (more common) glitches in the game. It's just a sideffect of an otherwise amazing game.
-
Well, my artifacting is so severe, I can barely play it. I can't even really see what I'm shooting at 30% of the time and have to rely on the compass... It really makes it not worth it to play Borderlands.
-
if ur using dox's 185.85 that might be the issue.... i had a problem like that in borderlands with those but after updating...they were gone
-
What's dox 185.85? I use Lenovo supplied drivers because I need the switchable graphics option.

Yeah just update your gpu driver, I would be surprised if it didn't go away.
-
did you install patch 1.01? if so try reinstalling the original
- try disabling dynamic shadows
- run borderlands right after rebooting

I played borderlands for over a week on a 230m GT with 195.62 and had zero graphical problems.

You could always try reinstalling Borderlands, make sure to backup your save!

I was under the impression the game had been in development since 2007. -
What Catalyst driver version are you using?
-
I have a 3650 as well, finished borderlands with 0 problems. Try updating to mobility modded latest drivers or i think even ati has some official mobility 3000 series drivers out now.

That's what it says in Catalyst Control Center. -
Maybe it was the spilt milk?
-
Why would it show up only in Borderlands and not anywhere else? Also, it's been running fine for quite a while since then. As well, it's not the kind of artifacting you see with damaged cards, more with glitches.
-
Fresh install and latest patch would be the places to start. If that yields nothing then you can go from there with those things eliminated so people don't try to pass it off as that.

Try changing the exe file to ut3.exe. It works for me and I'm on 9.12 Catalyst Mobility Modder. I have problem before this and it is solved after the changes
