I had Crysis 1 to 2 on dvds, and I didn't want to be bothered with dvds around, so I bought the Crysis Collection on Steam. All of my dvd save game locations were the same as the Steam save game locations, so the games played fine. Big disappointment was I played Crysis on the VTOL scene and finally CONQUERED it, getting to the aircraft carrier - when the game crashes on me! I've been stuck on that part for a long time so that's why I never finished the game. Now I got to redo the scene again until I conquer it. But Crysis 1 plays at 2560 x 1600 on my Geforce 570 on my Dell U3014 30" monitor.
I'll give my Crysis dvds to my cousin in the Philippines. I don't like the clutter of game dvds anymore so I almost never buy PC dvd games anymore either.

The importance of this thread is that you can replace your dvd game copies with the Steam Crysis collection and ALL OF YOUR SAVEGAMES WILL STILL WORK. So that's good news to share, while people can still buy the Crysis Collection off of the current Steam Sale going on now.
And I'm not on Facebook.be77solo likes this. -
Is he going to play it on internet cafes? lol 20 pesos per hour.

What I'm stumped by is how in the world you managed to play Crysis 1 at 1600p on a single GTX 570, unless you turned the video settings down quite a bit.

I was thinking about buying this collection, as I've never played Crysis before, until Crysis 3 came out. I don't really know the storyline behind the game...if there is one.

Maybe the Steam Crysis 1 has been optimized by now. Yeah, I'm still amazed that I get by on my EVGA Geforce 570 Superclocked 1280 MB when it's powering TWO 2560 x 1600 30" Dell Monitors! I can't wait to get the Nividia 880 when it comes around Q1 2014! The long wait will be over. Some games play well at 2560 x 1600, like Tomb Raider and Bioshock Infinite. Other games I can only play at 1920 x 1200.

Forget Crysis 2 and 3. The first one and Warhead are all you need. Plus there's a near-infinite number of terrific mods to keep you occupied for years if you choose to do so.

On this topic, anybody know how to stop Crysis 1 crashing randomly for no reason? It likes to do this. A lot. Before the game even finishes loading up.

killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.
At least playing Crysis 2 made this impression. Gameplay is kinda nice though, except that annoying enemy regeneration. -

For anyone who wants to enhance their game, be sure to use and install these mods:
Crysis 1:
BlackFire's Mod Ultimate for Crysis 1 - Mod DB (let's you change anything from time of day to FOV)
Crysis 2:
BlackFire's Mod 2 for Crysis 2 - Mod DB (Improved version of the mod for C1, this one also let's you save at any time)
MaLDo Blog: MaLDoHD 4.0 Final version (almost real-life textures)
All these mods make my games run smooth. Crysis 2 never drops below 60FPS on ultra DX11 (with AA)
Well, I Re Bought the Crysis Collection for Steam.
