Well I don't have an infinite amount of money and I am trying to see what game I should get. What game do you like the best/ are going to get soon?
I have been playing the torchlight demo and I like it a lot.
I am also looking at Borderlands. How is the online?

Nice, you have the same taste in games as me. I really like the idea of Borderlands, though I haven't played it and probably never will. I have also been keeping tabs on Torchlight and I like the low system req's, so I'll probably give the demo a try in the next couple of months. So I'm guessing you like rpgs then? You could give Sacred + Underworld expansion a try, a very fun Diablo 2 clone (but very well done).

Borderlands is all about the Co-op, but I'm enjoying single player as well. This would be a good choice if you have a friend(s) to play with, random pickup groups are not as great. Also this game needs a patch to work out a few minor quirks.
I like the Torchlight demo, I might buy this one. If you enjoyed it, for only $20 you should grab this regardless what other game you get.
If you don't have anyone to play online with, go with Dragonage, I'm really impressed with what it seems like so far.
Skip MW2..
Not sure about L4D2, looks just like L4D. -
Borderlands looks cool but most of my friends don't have capable pcs so I think I'll wait on that
Mw2.....damn.....just damn...really was looking forward to that... -

MW2, if you just want to get one.

I'm not on the dedicated server bandwagon for MW2 but even I say skip it considering it's nothing new.
Borderlands should be an amazing game, though under-hyped. -
I love BOrderlands so far. Very addicting and engulfing. Get it NOW.

L4D2 is an expensive expansion pack for L4D, but it improves the feel of the game quite a bit, and if you liked L4D, this is certainly an improvement - the game play trailers didn't do the game justice.
All in all, I'm liking it a lot so far

all the games on that list is amazing, i say the only one you should skip is MW2
-
wow, regardless of the stuff going on with MW2, that isn't a game I will be skipping...The original COD4 was really good, kept me engaged for a long time. I get the feeling the second one will be just as good while introducing some new mutliplayer stuff as well as another awesome storyline.

Definitely the second one is worth getting, but if you aren't super excited about it and undecided on what to get, a new, more vast experience is worth more than Modern Warfare 2 no?
IMO you could be like me and purchase a bunch of games. I'm getting Uncharted 2 and Borderlands soon and Modern Warfare 2 and Assassin's Creed II when that deal comes out. -
Considering some of these games are not even out, its really hard to vote for which one I like best. But I picked Dragon Age because that is the first one of the lot I'll end up buying. I loved Baldurs Gate and Baldurs Gate II, if this is a return to form for Bioware I'll be very happy (although their new stuff has been great as well...)

Just played the Torchlight demo. So stupidly similar to Diablo 2. Knowing that the same team made this (and the complete failure known as Hellgate: London), I wish that people would stop making games that completely rip off D2 and try something original.
-
All of them are worth getting, but I say Dragon Age for now. It seems to me that original single player RPGs (not sandbox) are becoming increasingly rare. This game is a nice change of pace.
-
Dragon Age is supposed to be the next big thing in realistic and gritty RPGs, that's my recommendation over the hordes of FPS products the PC market gets each year.

Dragon Age
-
Hmmm, i'm going Borderlands first then after counting my pennies and see if I can pre-order Left 4 Dead 2.
-
I know most of the OP's list is of a similar genre but for me, Batman - Arkham Asylum is the game I will recommend to everyone and that should be on every gaming list, even the challenge modes and downloadable content have me entertained for hours. Another one that should be on the list is Prototype.
Having said that, I am very interested in playing Borderlands but don't know enough about any of those titles to make a realistic vote. -

L4D24me.
but borderlands has some hype going for it, and looks to be good. -
Dragon Age for me too...just under a week to go.
-
I voted L4D2, but really if you are on a tight budget then you need a multiplayer game. It really depends on how you will play it. If you are going to only need it for a few hours a week then a single player game (especially and RPG) wouldn't be so bad. If you are going to do a couple of hours a day then you need to get a good online game.
And if you are going to only be able the new game exclussivly for a while then I suggest you go for either:
1) A free MMORPG
2) 2-3 discount games which may be old but still very fun and playable. i.e. TF2 is very cheap right now -
Modern Warfare 2 but not until the price goes down and they add dedicated servers.
-
Of that list my money is on Dragon Age.
Borderlands a possibility only if multiplayer is your thing.
MW2? ~ ruined. Besides, do we really need just another Call of Duty? Enough already. Infinity Ward needs to branch out and make other types of games.
L4D2? ~ Too soon albeit the screenies/video looks good. L4D original is still great.
Torchlight ~ A possibility although I don't know too much about it. Price seems right, tho'. -
Dragon Age would be my first choice.
