    ATI® Mobility Radeon® HD2300

New Vaio CR 14.1" top, comes with it.

It is better for gaming that...¿?

    -SZ 7400gt
    -CR x3100
    -FZ 8400m gt

I think it's better than x3100 but worse than the others.

I did some research and I'm still not sure if the HD2300 is a DX9 or DX10 card.

It is a DX9 card, but the firmware can be upgraded by Intel (in the future) to make it a DX10 card. The entire chip can be reprogrammed.

Um, I think night_2004 is talking about the GMA X3100? And I don't think that one can be upgraded to DX10 either. It still has to get drivers to enable hardware T&L to make it fully DX9.

As far as I know, the 2300 series of cards are DX9, while the 2400s and 2600s are DX10.

    Edit:

Yeah, I was right, the 2300s are DX9...

    I don't worry if card is DX10

For DX9 games, what notebook it is better?

    -Vaio CR ATI® Mobility Radeon® HD2300
    -Vaio SZ5 Nvidia 7400
    -Vaio CR Nvidia GMA x3100

    Thanks!

I can't be sure which one is better . . . there are no benchmarks for the HD 2300 right now. There are no notebooks even shipping with ATI HD 2000 series cards right now as far as I know . . .

I'd probably say the Go7400 and the HD 2300 are very close.
    Yup he is.

    That's ok.

    Between:

Vaio CR Santa Rosa, GMA x3100
    and
    Vaio SZ5 Nvidia 7400

Wich it is better for gaming now?

Between those two, I'd say go with the nVidia card (Vaio SZ5) , purely based on the X3100 being integrated (although, I haven't looked at any benchmarks, so I'm not sure for sure that the nVidia would be better.)

Right now, the 7400 is better... The X3100 might catch up some with future driver releases, but it's very likely it won't perform as well as the 7400 even then.

In terms of benchmarking and even real life tests the 7400 is around twice as pwoerful as the X3100 so it's definitely the card to take for gaming.
