I know its mid range and it isnt that great, but I got my laptop awesome priced,

    i7 2630qm, 8gb ram, optimus gt525m.

What are some fun / decent games that I can play on my computer?.
Ive never played an MMORPG but i think i'd like them i want to play the new final fantasy online but i cant get myself to because ive never played a game online really. Last game console i owned was a ps2... so can anyone tell me some good games that you think id enjoy? i dont care about first person shooters or war games though, played the infantry role for last 4 years and want nothing to do with those style games.

i am social to, so more populated games the merrier.

    :)

Final Fantasy Online? Isn't that the game that was so terrible, and so poorly-reviewed, that they admitted they screwed up and made it free to play until they make it decent? If you're into MMOs, World of Warcraft and Guild Wars seem to be the most popular. And WoW is not at all demanding graphics-wise.

I would say one of the best and most mature free to play MMO's has to be Lord of the Rings Online.

Other than that. Start trying all the free to play games on Steam, as well as some demo's.

And, get Terraria. Just do it now. It will be the most fun you can have on your computer.

WoW, RIFT, League of Legends, Diablo 2 is always great, Atlantica online( like FF), SC2, LOTRO, Minecraft, Dawn of War 2, Lots of games to try out. I would try to download some demo's if you can find any and some of those are F2P, All of them are great games. Except I have never played WoW. These are not MMORPG's, but they are RPG's Witcher series, Fable series.

Like others said, for MMOs, I think guild wars is really the game to go to. And no monthly fees too! The barrier to entry is really low.

I'm not sure about going on WoW unless you really want a lot of your time taken up by it. Couple of friends finally stopped and they were amazed by the amount of time they had after quitting.

I suggest you try out APB: Reloaded. It's a GREAT MMO currently in Open Beta in my opinion. Really fun to play with friends. Driving in a van with 3 of your friends sticking out the windows with SMGs doing drive-bys and hunting down bounties instead of doing the actual missions ;)
