    What are some games that are free on Steam? I don't mean any demos, I mean full games. I have Half -life deathmatch and trackmania. Those are the only ones that I could find. Any others that are fun?

    There are free games at steam? O_O

    Only one I got for free was Portal when it was also released for MAC last time but it was a promotion :x

    Insurgency is a pretty good game. It's kind of like America's Army in terms of being tactical-oriented. I think it takes 1-2 shots to kill someone, so you can't go around running like you're playing Call of Duty. It's a pretty good game for me to go back to it every once in a while.

    I actually dont think you even need a source game at all... I think this one is just free. It includes Source SDK in the download package so it seems like it will be free for everyone.

    Alien Swarm keeps extending its time till its released... it at one time said 3... and now it says 3 hours... and now 2 hours later its back up to 4 hours and then back down to 2 hours... its so confusing

    I am a new user on steam and haven't bought anything yet. The only games I have right now are Half-Life 2: Deathmatch and Trackmania. There are some free games that require the source sdk which I don't have. So if this game comes with the source sdk, then I can play all those other games?

    And yea I noticed that too. They keep changing how many hours are left! I went to go get just now and I noticed that they extended the release!

    It says if you dont have a steam account (this is after clicking install) that you can create one and begin the download. I think you'll be good.
