Hi,
I had the below laptop and it always overheated. But now, by rasiing the whole laptop over the table surface and blowing air below it using a fan, my overheating problems are gone. So i was wondering about what were stable settings which i could use to overclock my NVDIA Ge Force 9600M GT using nvdia system tools. Any suggestions?

For stable settings, you would have to look for them. 10% above is a safe bet. You can look at the link in my signature for an example on how and what to do.
I hope this helps. -

This.
No two chips clock the same, and it's dangerous to just pick a speed and go. Start at 2% or so, and test. If it passes, move another 2% and repeat. Eventually, it won't pass, then back off a little and there's your best speed. -
DIY is the only way.

Yeah, there is no better solution, just he should read a bit before going blindly.

On second thought, if you have to go through extra steps to keep your notebook from overheating, just don't overclock anything. I don't think a machine with such an insufficient cooling solution should be pushed any harder.

And you gain an extra 0.1 frame per second. -
Well either way, you have to OVERCLOCK SAFELY, in small incremements. Cards all are different one way or another, some can overclock highly, some cant, just like CPU's.
Just have to be careful.
