Hooked on Civ V again. The game is so good arghhh...

I've been playing it so much that I'm able to take on the second last difficulty setting. I'm gonna try to push it on the hardest setting next game.

Just beat Darksiders. Longer game than I expected, but awesome. Just started Mass Effect 3. Hope I like it as much as I did the second one.

    GTA IV EFLC
Installed The Run yesterday, beat it on Normal. It's pretty short. I was expecting longer gameplay.
Next: Bioshock 1 (again) and 2.

An obscure 1994 DOS strategy game called "ReUnion." It was coded by a Hungarian team. I remember playing it as a kid for a few hours before my dad returned the CD and swapped it for something else.

I am completely immersed in this right now -> Skyrim -Must Watch in 720p Fullscreen!- Ultra HD Textures and RL Ultimate Immersion Mods! - YouTube

Finally recorded with FRAPS instead of the usual iphone camera :D

Did a full resolution capture of 1368x760 but had to cut fps limit down a lot to keep the video from being too large and taking a week to upload to Youtube.

Limited the fps to 20 so looks much less smooth as it does for me normally (usually around 35'ish while the heavy rain is going on, 45-60 without the rain). Have a truck load of mods installed to increase Texture Resolution, Mesh Quality, LoD Quality and the list goes on and on.

Running the game on my 9800m gts and an x9100 dual core off my 64gb Samsung SSD.

I'm no longer the gaming monster that I once was so I'm a bit behind the times. I just finished Fallout 3 with all DLC and am re-playing Baldur's Gate 1 on my laptop. Next up is Dragon Age II, Deus Ex: HR, and then Mass Effect 3 when the prices come down.

I'll get around to Skyrim eventually. Like 2014.

Me, I play MS FSX most of the time.
Recently finished Deus Ex HR+DLC. One hell of a game. Now waiting for Fallout 3 sale. Was a bit disappointed that there was no Easter sale on Steam :D.

Recently finished Catherine on the 360... might play it again soon for a different ending. Man I loved that game. Dat soundtrack, dat ambiance, dat difficulty.

Currently, Condemned: Criminal Origins (360), Skyrim (PC), STALKER: Shadow of Chernobyl (PC)... and some more that I could probably list if I went around my libraries and tried finding them.

Planned? Everything in the backlog... so about 50 games.

Finally got around to Playing Batman Arkham City.

Put about 4 hours into it so far. Great game. Not quite as well thought out as Arkham Asylum though, the wide-open city is a bit of a bear to navigate at first. The story seems a bit disconnected too, compared to the first. Don't care for playing back and forth between Batman and Catwoman..

But otherwise.. Good title so far.

    Understood.

Call it "mindless", but I'd much prefer Left 4 Dead, or Counterstrike to all the WOW clones like DA, etc.

Or any shooter (I'm looking at you Bioware) that has more yapping than shooting.

There's nothing wrong in preferring more arcade style games, but Dragon Age and WoW are 2 completely different genres. You can say DA is a copy of Baldur's Gate, Kotor or Neverwinter Nights in style but it's definitely nothing like an MMO.

ME3 is literally 10-out-of-10 excellent until the final 10 minutes, and the ending isn't as *horrible* as many are making it out to be, it simply doesn't make a lot of sense. But that is being fixed, supposedly.

I would not drop money on the game until then, but if you already have it, there's no reason not to play it. Just make sure you've played 2 first, and 1 (or download a pre-made save) or you will miss the opportunity for the best outcome in one very major portion of the story.

My asari adept has learned 2 words in her extensive life of 800 years, and those were Boom Boom! Bang Bang!

Biotic explosions are her specialty, she delivers dead grunts in a matter of seconds a single blast and there goes 3-4 troopers!

The great thing about her is flexibility, I played a Gold game on Firebase Condor, my team was 3 infiltrators (salarian, quarian and geth), so I delivered the support needed, holded choke points and moved to where I was needed, stasis bubble was the thing on that match, while on firebase hydra I just made so much explosions that everything was done before the 20min mark

Retribution was pretty good. Not quite as in-depth as Chaos Rising.. but not too bad.

With THQ on the cusp of going under.. im really worried about the DoW Franchise.. THQ has supplied nothing but 100% Hits with the series (And with Space Marine)

Yeah Retribution is fun but not as fun as the previous DoW II and Chaos Rising. I was actually kinda disappointed by Space Marine cause I was expecting it would have some RPG elements like the DoW II series.

I am not too worried about the series though, even if THQ goes under some other studio will probably pick up the series seeing as it is fairly popular.

Yeah, the dynamics of Space Marine are pure Arcade Shooter. What i really enjoyed was how, after playing WH40K Games all the way back to Space Hulk on the 386, you finally feel like you are an un-stoppable killing machine. Orcs fall at your feet like butter melting.. and Chaos is no match for your hammer and jump-pack.

It was simply several hours of 100% rear-kicking mayhem. I loved it.
