I'm thinking of getting an X60, with these specs:

    -Intel® Core™ Duo L2400 LV (1.67GHz, 2MB L2, 667MHz FSB) 12.1" UltraLight XGA TFT with Bluetooth

    - 2 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz SODIMM Memory (2 DIMM)

-100GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm Serial ATA (2.5")

Funny because it doesn't even tell you what graphics card it has (does it even have one...? :D )

Out of idle curiosity, could this play any games? Let's say... some 2001 era thingymabob; maybe one of the earlier KOTOR's?

I see 12.1" so will presume integrated. Too lazy to search for model :p See this thread (yes I spend too much time here to know of it)

The integrated graphics are what really burns you. You can run KOTOR on it, but it's tricky I think.

Sadly, it's not good for UT2004. It's an inconsistent mess, it's not simply a case of 'it's not good enough', as it runs the game the same on high settings the same as it does on low settings - an FPS count that yoyos uncontrollably, rendering it extremely choppy and annoying to play....

No worries, this isn't supposed to be a gaming notebook.

But cmon, it can at least run... I dunno... Halo 1? At the lowest settings? :)

Yes, but as you say - only at the low settings, otherwise it'll choke up...

Games that run well are really any Dx8 or under titles - Soldier of Fortune, C&C Generals, Call of Duty, Unreal Tournament, Quake III, Castle Wolfenstein, etc, all those games work fine. Of course, many new games work too, but it's a major hit and miss regarding issues with various games, compatiability, bugs, etc...

Hmm, if you can tweak the settings to LOW on some games, then you could play WoW, Counter Strike Source( don't punch me if i'm wrong...I use knives..I'm armed... :p) and that's about of what I can think of for now.
