I am considering whether or not I want to buy this game because Game Stop sells it for $29.99. If you have played this game, please give it a rating.

I have this for PS2 and it is fantastic, it pretty much excels in every aspect. I might buy the wii edition because of the motion sensing aiming and i just want to replay the game. Highly recommended if you like shooters.

usually I assume that games that aren't 50 dollars or higher when they come out aren't worth playing haha.

It's cause it's basically transported from the GC so the graphics aren't what you'd expect at this current generation.

I say get it if you never played that game at all. I got it for the cube when it first came out and it is a remarkable game. The Wii edition I hear the controls might be awkward at first but you will get use to it. Plus if you do not like the Wii controls you can use the classic controller as well. 30 bucks is not bad, especially you get the extra contents that was in the ps2 version as well.

i got both the ps2 and the wii version
the ps2 version was so good that i was blown away
the wii version has better control but at first it will be more difficult but after 10 minutes u will realize that it is a much easier and intuitive control scheme than the dual analog thing

I just started playing Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition and I think it works. I am not going to give it a rating yet, but it looks good so far. I doubt it will be as good as "Red Faction", which I consider the gold standard of first person shooters. So far I know it is better than "Call of Duty 3" and "Red Steel", I wasted too much money on those games.

I own this game for GC, the original....I have played it on PC, which was great as well.

The Wii version is definitely worthy of the $30 pricetag. It is so much fun using the Wiimote and the different controls to play the game.

    and wait....

Why are you comparing RE to Red Faction? It's not a FPS....it's a horror survival shooter.

Which one was better between the PC and GC version out of curiosity? Was the PC game a bad port?

I've heard bad things about the PC version. I'd stick with the Wii version myself.

Well, I myself though it was quite fun to use keyboard and mouse for aiming instead of the controller. It must much easier....then of course the Wii, once you get used to it, is the easiest and most fun of them all.

Graphically, I can't really comment on that since I have a crappy gfx card.

Hmm, I have been hearing a lot of good things about this game. Have never really got into the RE series, and I went to Blockbuster yesterday to rent this game but they didn't have it... I have metroid prime for the GC and found that to be a half decent game ( 7 / 10 ). And although FPS aren't my favorite genre, I do enjoy them. Would you guys really recommend this game to me?

I just finished the game and all of the mini game except for the mercenary missions. I think the mercenary missions are annoying. Even though it is not a first person shooter because Leon is in the third person point of view, it has a similar style. It has many of the same flaws related to first person shooter games and a few other flaws. Right away I noticed enemies do not seem to take any damage. It sometimes takes 4 or more head shots to kill a lower level enemy. This is one of the many reasons I do not like Half Life. The second big flaw is several enemies cannot be killed or have to finish their speech first. It is frustrating when the enemy continues to run away and nothing you do can help. Overall I still give it a high rating for the $29.99. I think it is halfway in between
Excellent, a few annoying flaws and Very Good, several annoying flaws. I will give it the benefit of the doubt to encourage others to give it a try. So I rate it Excellent, a few annoying flaws.
