+1 for a game like LoL you need like-minded friends for it to be enjoyable. As a newbie it will be daunting, I remember getting screamed at for taking a healer on top lane on my first run ha ha. Luckily I had a friend who's into LoL and guided me the ropes and tagged along the same lane and tutored me when to rush and when to back out of sticky situations (as well as laugh and giving me constructive advice when I did something wrong rather having profanities screaming at you).

So yeah seek out some LoL playing friends and with time it can be a pretty fun game to invest in.

FFXIV... started 3 weeks ago. Installed Witcher 3 and bought the Skyrim - Legendary Edition on steams sale, but haven't even opened them.

steams dangerous, esp with a shiny new laptop

edit: is Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim worth the time investment?

Ohoooo, Skyrim can be a deep, deep hole my friend. Easily one of the most immersive, fleshed out, and detailed worlds gaming has to offer, even without the mods. Have you played any of the other Elder Scrolls games?

If you have time and mood to mod it into an actually good game.

just remember to play Skyrim before you play the Witcher 3

and Skyrim needs a lot, a lot of mods. Also be aware it has some game-breaking bugs (save often, not quick save) that aren't fixed even with the unofficial patches. I find Skyrim fun because of how much mod community can offer (modding Skyrim is fun too) and its freedom. The main quests and characters aren't exactly interesting.

I find The Witcher 3 to be more interesting in quests, exploring the world and immersing myself. However, it limits you in role-playing only 1 character.

//been playing a bit of Ori and the Blind Forest (thanks again, HTWingNut!). Looks and sounds pretty amazing. Kinda a soothing game, which is new to me.

I find that Skyrim is still enjoyable with just aesthetic mods. The Vanilla game is still very well put-together IMHO, and the world-building is excellent.

I just started over in Dying Light now that "The Following" expansion came out.

I played the original through the whole story and maxed out my character levels but I thought it was too easy, but this was before they added the difficulty modes. Now I started over in nightmare mode and am having a blast so far playing solo.

Normally I tend to play easier games, as super hard games end up annoying me but occasionally I enjoy the harder modes when I find a game overly easy. I never finished Alien Isolation as I found the game too hard (again before they had difficulty levels implemented) and I really just don't enjoy super stealthy games like that. I prefer to run in and make some noise lol.

well, I'd need some voiced follower mods too (this is what keeps me going). I ill like the idea of exploring Skyrim alone, in the wilderness, surrounded by darkness and I only like Serana. Other followers don't seem to have a character. I've only tried some vanilla (female) followers actually. In TW 3, I'm okay with solo-ing, just need Roach. Or maybe it's just that Skyrim has too many dungeons, falmer caves, and dwemer ruins that are 2sp00ky4me .

I play it mostly without a follower since my main save is with a Khajit. Really hard to get in sneak attacks if you've got one.

Still on bioshock. I gotta say bioshock on normal is pretty hard. I'm always struggling to get enough ammo. I'm not sure if I'm ever going to finish this game, and I bought the whole bioshock series. Don't tell me all of them are this hard.

Are you talking about the first one?
IMO, it's not really hard on normal (none of BS games are), maybe just first few levels. I remember Big Daddies were a real PITA until I got that chemical weapon or something in third level or so. Otherwise I pretty much completed the game with shock plasmid and a wrench :D
And you can't die in it, so yeah, hang in there, BS1 is a nice story, you should totally finish it!

Sweet. Glad I picked up the the legendary edition for 10 bucks...! Time to find some time... I haven't played any other Elder Scrolls games, looks like I'm in for a treat.

    Thanks!

I haven't modded anything since FFVII for PC, this should be fun.

Thanks for the reply's, looks like I have some gaming to do haha

By the way, C:S is free to play until Sunday, I think.

If you think that Big Daddies are a PITA, wait till you meet a Big Sister in the second game :D

Got the Legendary edition too, I only have like 10 hours since then (~ 5 months). This game is HUGE! I decided to free-up some disk space beating other games and then I'll return to it. In the mean time I hope that I'll get more capable GPU, so I'll be able to pimp-it-up.

On a side note I would love to get the collector's edition of the Rise of the Tomb Raider, but it comes rather expensive :( Wonder if the necklace would suit me :D

Currently playing Dying Light I bought on sale recently. Used to play Titanfall pretty exclusively for last year (got to Diamond I / Platinum V rank consistently), but glad I've given it a break now - although I do think it's a fantastically well-executed game!

    Still left to finish:
-Batman Arkham Knight (nearly finished main campaign)
    -Wolfenstein New Order
-Bioshock Infinite DLC (after loving Bioshock years ago looking forward to going back to Rapture sometime in this game!)

    Yet to start:
    -Outlast
    -Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor
    -Talos Principle

Ones to always keep dipping back into once in a while:
    -Titanfall
-(Grid Autosport - maybe not forever, will probably get boring!)

The Division Beta is running right now, so I've been playing it today. Maxed my level in PVE, tomorrow I think I'll move to PVP.
I also pre-ordered the game. 33EUR on a keysite, not too bad. I expect it will go up from here on, just like it did with Siege.

Hard to say really. It has a loot mechanic, so grinding can go very far.
I personally don't really grind. I do like doing around the city. There are some places like apartments, sewers, etc, there you can scavenge for stuff, which I kinda like.
It's also an open beta, so you can try it out for yourself.

My next game will probably be Chrono Trigger. It was one of the classics I missed back with the SNES, and I hear it's really good. Plus, I need something to quench the JRPG thirst that Trails in the Sky SC left me with while I deal internally with the fact that the 3rd Trails chapter won't be localized for four years or so...

EDIT: I should mention, I'm kinda playing Eternal Sernia on the side right now. It's a free and simple but well-crafted RPG, and it's available on Steam. You guys should check it out; looks like the average completion time is 4-5 hours.

Now that I'm done with Rise of the Tomb Raider, not sure what to play next. Maybe go back and finish the 2013 Tomb Raider. Haven't finished it yet.

    :D

But the frame rate, man. Totally worth it!

As for me, really enjoying ROTTR right now. It isn't without flaws, but the gameplay, man, almost exactly what I was looking for!
These guys are in so much trouble!

Damn, really planned on doing a clean install this weekend, but it looks like I'm gonna postpone it for a couple of weeks. With Lara and The Division around the corner (and obviously other stuff in life) I have no time for clean installs :(.

    EDIT: oh yes, it begins!

Man, i've done ROTTR twice once on Tomb Raider difficulty and once on Survivor. ROTTR is a great game with the right amount of difficulty and entertainment. On Survivor the game definitely more challenging.

IKR. It's just... fun! Go figure. I'm thinking of giving it a second play through because first 1/4 of game I didn't really know what I was doing. They nailed it with this one and actually looking forward to DLC.

I dunno, for my taste, Survivor needs to be a bit more harder. Some people are actually suggesting to play it without using any skills. That is certainly an interesting idea, perhaps for my second walkthrough.

Did you buy the game as well? Because you know I'm planning to do some co-op with you.

Maybe because you were staring at her bottom those first 1/4 of game :p
But yeah, they pretty much nailed the gameplay (minus few things). Too bad DLCs don't look good so far. First story DLC is like 1,5h long... For 10EUR... CDPR says "hai!"

I agree on Survivor that needs to be harder, but i kind like it though cause it still had the fun part.

I'm planning to buy it, just don't have the time yet, maybe in the coming week.

But shouldn't the whole point of Survivor difficulty be to make it as hard as possible?
If you want it to be hard yet fun, there's always Hard.

    Hurry up then :D.
Then again, I might go away for a weekend next week, so might not be available to play.

Finally finished tomb raider anniversary and Alan wake that were sitting in my queue half finished for what seemed like eternity. Finished the main story in Fallout 4. Trying not to buy any new games until I make it a ways into my ridiculous backlog. Working on finishing Witcher 3 now.

here I am, struggling not to finish the game before Blood And Wine comes out :(

Love watching the cutscenes because the characters (Triss, Ciri, Yen) make so many fun/cute/pretty expressions/reactions.

*Spoiler alert but not really significant because you probably won't understand the context if you've not advanced to this part.*

assassins creed syndicate. It's such a shame that the games are performance abortions, because the actual game is solid and the visuals as well, if they just ditched the Anvil engine for something else it would be great. As it stands the game feels like 40 fps at 80 and 90 fps with SLI enabled.

I am exited for "Blood and wine" expansion more then any game coming this year. It will be the last installment of witcher series with Gerald as main character. I hope they give his story a proper closure.
I think April 26th is the expected date.
Edit: Must confess, sorta excited for cyberpunk 2077 :)
