I don't purchase anything from Gaijin due to their past behavior against YouTubers and players in general. I'm just a free-play person with them now (though I was gifted a premium Spitfire by a family member).

Seems like a lot of positive posts about the 5 year anniversary, maybe they cleaned up?
-
Doesn't matter to me. They still have the same CxOs and other employees who carried out such negative behavior, so none of my money goes to them.
Same deal with WarGaming.net actually, though even worse since I've now stopped playing World of Warships and World of Tanks due to their recent behavior, in addition to refusing to give them money anymore.hmscott likes this. -
But, you will play their games and post it here?
-
I don't mind playing WT without paying, for now. If they act up again, then I'll consider quitting.
I used to do the same with WoWS, playing without paying anymore. But they've ticked me off enough to have me leave. Shame too, since WoWS can be a fun game and I was a pretty good player.hmscott likes this. -
Did the sound work? Sounds weirdly like a refresh rate issue.
-
It probably is, when system resolution is 3840x2160, refresh rate @60 or @30 instant black screen no sound. When turned down to 1920x1080 black screen but game sounds can be heard. We tried for over 2hrs (EVERYTHING) and no joy. I simply can’t home for a long day at work, try to get something to work. Maybe if they patch it or whatever I’ll try again during a summer sale. All previous Wolfenstein games played great no problems.

I'm wrapping up Middle-earth: Shadow of War, having finished most everything besides the near-endless grind to get the "bonus" ending. As a hardcore Tolkien fan, I found many of the game's absurd story elements hard to stomach. The gameplay itself though is a blast--a definite improvement over its predecessor, Shadow of Mordor, which was already great. Those stupid microtransactions thankfully didn't ruin it either, although the post-main-game grind for the bonus ending cinematic gets old quick and may tempt people into opening up their wallets (although you can alternatively just watch the cinematic on YouTube for free, obviously). Overall, l'd recommend this game.
Up next, I'm going on an Odyssey, -

But not a deal-breaker? This is my biggest worry. -
If you're a hardcore Tolkien fan like me, I would not recommend this game. I did enjoy the gameplay a lot, which is why I'd generally recommend it to gamers. But the game takes a dump on everything Tolkien wrote. It goes much further than turning Shelob into a sexy woman. The devs made zero effort to conform the game's story to the books' story. The timeline is wrong, many things contradict what Tolkien wrote, and several characters from the books are basterdized. The devs clearly have no respect for the beauty of Tolkien's works, nor do they seem to understand what his works are even about.

Wait what? Where would her not being a spider even be alluded to? Ungoliant was only ever a spider in form and her other parent was certainly a spider. Did they try and pass it off as taking a human appearance to trick the MC? -
Personally I thought the ending to shadow of mordor was stupid. The whole point of the game is to finally die and join your family in death and then right at the end he's like, screw that, there's power to be had!

Because, sequels, dummy

Been playing Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, pretty damn fun so far. I put Shadow of War in the back burner until I finish Wolfenstein 2, I kinda hate Shadow of War's human characters. (I do love the orcs)

Wolfenstein 3D in The Wolfenstein II The New Colossus.
Oh yes, queue the sound effect.
-
Yeah I know right? lol I just wish there was some real writing involved, nothing wrong with the idea of having a sequel just put some effort into why it exists in the first place...killkenny1 likes this.

The devs made Shelob a huge part of Shadow of War's story. They decided she could shapeshift into a human, based on the unfounded reasoning that she's a Maia (supposedly like her mother), despite the fact that all Maia were created by Eru and don't have parents.
And this is far from the only liberty they took with Tolkien's works... it gets worse. -

Holopoint and Thrill of the Fight.
Holopoint is really hard but also so much fun that I didn't mind.
Thrill of the Fight is going to take some getting used to, some hits don't register and the feedback on being hit seems inconsistent. Less fun than Holopoint, but still seems like it could be challenging. -
The long dark.
I just bought it a week ago, done the episodic wintermule, now currently in 100 days in sandbox mode.
I don't mean to brag but it's not hard once you learn the basics, everything is predictable, not that very challenging like most people said. It's fun at first but it's getting boring now...a week after.Last edited: Nov 2, 2017 -
Wolfenstein 2 - It is pretty cool, gameplay is solid, but with 8 hours in game i am feeling i am finishing the game already which is quite short for a single player only game
Rainbow six siege - Still a solid online shooter
Tomorrow I will start on COD WW2, on the ps4 though because most of my friends play that on the PS4 online. -
Firmly locked in battle in Destiny 2. I guess I enjoy it so much because it reallllly reminds my of Halo. The enemies, and game play (IMHO) are so Haloish. Any who, simply loving it.

That's what I liked so much about D1. I haven't got far in D2 but I'm loving it the same. -

Damn, you're fast.
I'm 10 hours in and I still haven't recruited the last guy, not to mention do any of the Enigma side missions. -
I guess I am quick then, Did half of the Enigma missions as well.

got COD:WWII good to go for SP though I have a bit of "homework" to get through before my weekend Japanese language class.
-
I've played like an hour and a half and just got past the wheelchair level.

Breach & Clear: Deadline Rebirth
Zombie shooter mixed with a bit of RTS. -
COD:WW2 seems to run fine with most settings maxed out. Graphics look decent enough but definitely won't win any awards. No health auto regen which is good but I keep forgetting to heal myself sometimes and that causes me to die a tonne
But it's nice to have 2 games were players get to kill Nazis!

Now to test out the Alt-Tab. Previously was getting crashes. -
I'm getting those alt-tab crashes too.
I also get the little blue windows loading ring after pressing the ~ key to access the console. -
Back on league again and just dropped $200... I'm addicted to those hextech micro transactions. I'm getting ever so closer to that 2k mark :/
-
Mostly skins but there is some champion shards mixed in. I'm almost at 200 skins and I'm trying to get at least 1 skin per champ.
-
Rocket League and CSGO forever I guess. Just can't find any game worth playing apart from Witcher 3 which I've completed. Will probably do a run on Outlast 2

Everything I've seen online so far involves trick jumps, is that core to the game, or just something that it's neat to do?
What game are you playing now?
