because it's how the keys are procured is the problem. keys can be bought with stolen CC information.

Depends. I have a shop where I usually buy tech related stuff. And even if they sometimes have one or another thing pricier (like a couple of Euros), I still buy from them, because I like the service they provide.

Technically, CDPR is an indie developer, as in independent. They develop, and distribute themselves, fund themselves too (via their own savings or investors). So even if they are a somewhat big company now, they still are an indie company.
And personally I like to support their DRM free cause. In a day where Denuvo and always online is

$75 is for the base game alone, right?
Wonder where this price difference comes from. Higher quality of life in UAE? Bigger buying power? Greed?

One of the ways, yes. G2A also doesn't include tax or 30% distribution cut Valve takes from sale. Add those, and you will see that prices on G2A aren't that different.

Since last I wrote I finished Dying Light, Shadow Warrior and Shadow of Mordor. Working on playing through arkham Knight. I also finally finished Witcher 2 and was gonna use my Witcher 3-voucher from my Clevo purchase. It expired 11 months ago..

I´ve recently discovered the joy of survival games (never played them earlier) and am currently playing ARK Survival Evolved. I also got my daughter completely hooked on that game, quite excited to bring her into PC gaming instead of console. So now I need a second PC to play with her..

Currently made a little comeback in Planetside 2 and I will probably play some Diablo 3 when next season starts on Friday. Still got Fallout 4 and Dragon Age Inquisition sitting idle.

Man I don't know who the heck price things here. There used to be a time where people would practically travel to the UAE only for shopping. Electronics especially used to be much cheaper than anywhere else (well maybe not cheaper than the US but still...)
But now the situation is just ridiculous, everything is at least 15-20% more expensive than abroad.
I buy most of my stuff online from Amazon or Newegg. Even if the seller can't ship to UAE, I use Shop&Ship from Aramex and it STILL is cheaper than buying it locally.
Taxes will be introduced in 2018 so I don't think we should even complain for now. God knows what's gonna happen then!

Well I was worried about that initially but CDkeys.com and G2A.com are legit websites used by lots and lots of people.
The way they operate is by buying in bulk from the cheapest suppliers they can find.

If their businesses were illegal they would've been shut down a long time ago. These guys advertise everywhere so developers, Micro$oft are certainly aware of their existence and considering how long some of these websites have been operating, can't do anything about the situation.

    High import tax?

    Anyway, reinstalled Insurgency.
I still think its co-op is better than Siege.

Back on topic as well, decided to play Borderlands 2 after postponing this for a long time.
Decided to play Witcher 3 from scratch which will take me well over 200 hours with the expansions so will leave this for the summer...

Might give it a try. So far, playing as Krieg with a melee build is some of the most fun I've had in any videogame....

I've missed that part of the 2 DLC characters I played always as long range even in MassEffect also. So it was always Siren for me in Borderlands but man the Krieg- Psycho gameplay must have been real fun and make sure to explore those Legendary weapons, I've paused the pre-sequel (Athena - Gladiator) wanting to get those super badass weapons, which I've missed in earlier releases !!

That series is really expandable (say over 20K dmg legendary weapons vs compared to glitched weapon loot 200-500dmg vs normal depending on lvls obv, LoL) which is the ultimate fun tbh. 2K games always deliver - BioShock, Darkness, Borderlands, sadly the 2K AU is closing down (BioShock 2, BioShock Infinite, Pre Sequel) very sad might be expensive due to the AU studio to keep up with AAA with USD vs AUD, really unfortunate...

Hope Gearbox will keep up and deliver something well made again !!

Well I also like playing as a long range usually. But I've read on many websites that Krieg was extremely fun to play with. His berserk special ability is just hilarious and you can take out whole crowds in seconds. I am just 3-4 hours in and he is still level 7... There are some awesome skills to unlock later on so I am pretty sure the best part is yet to come.
I love the humor in the series and I hope I will have the time to play the Pre-sequel .

As for Mass Effect, this is simply put my favorite trilogy in the history of gaming. I beat the 3 games on Insanity, ME2 as a Vanguard being one of the best, if not THE best gaming experience I've had. Aside for the part in the Collectors' ship. This was a frickin nightmare...

Can't wait to see more of ME Andromeda at E3! My wallet is ready for the inevitable Collector's edition
Not sure if you like RPG's, but one other game I am really looking forward to is Ni No Kuni 2. My wife and I love Studio Ghibli's movies so the first game was one of my favorite games of all times as well...

Now just got to find the time to game... I can barely game for more than an hour a day... I am not even sure I will ever be able to play Witcher 3 and its expansions again. Uncharted 4 is coming next month and my plan was to buy a PS4 the day it is released but now that the PS4K/PS4.5 has been leaked, I might just wait for that instead, which isn't a bad thing really... I am planning to build myself a monster HTPC in the coming months so it would've been real fun to justify the purchase of a PS4 on top of that to my wife

I've been playing a lot of Smite lately - you know, that third person MOBA? Community in general seems to be a bit better than League, but that might just be because the playerbase is smaller. The game is really fun though. The thing I love is that game modes other than Conquest (which is your standard 5v5, 3 lanes with jungle, competitive mode) actually matter and are really well done. The Arena game mode alone is unlike any other mode in any other game mode I've played. It's literally just a big stadium, no lanes, no jungles, 3 camps per team, no real objectives, and it's just a 5v5 deathmatch that's fun as hell.

LoL is much popular but I find Dota2 much better, tried the former it was interesting but with the latter the variables, content is much better & the gameplay mechanics differ by so many factors and given that learning these games usually take time, It's been over 6 years I started Dota on Garena and then the Dota2 Beta (2011) was a real evolution keeping everything same but improving on the GFX/ slight mechanics due to massive overhaul and making it more professional and robust, Valve even upped the Engine and UI to Source2, Reborn UI.

Now the yearly tournament The International is coming up soon @ August in Seattle KeyArena (Main event) and Valve has soo much monies they started funding 3 Majors per year (3M USD Prize pool) with one International (2015 Prize pool was 18M USD). Next is they are offering SteamVR spectating which must be real fun..

P.S : the CS 1.6 was so addictive at that time that we played 18hrs/day back during undergrad @ Garena & college LAN, clan matches ftw ! but then slowly Dota came into our lives the interest declined because of the passouts, the golden days.... The CS:GO is a huge hit but some of us failed to cope up with I myself have that but unable to play, unfortunate...hoping to play that someday.

elite dangerous / dragons dogma / xcom 2

i have more issues running xcom 2 than any thing else: it freeze's, dose not acknowledge mouse input, massive frame rate drops in places you wouldn't expect (like when there sat during mission briefing/disembarking, but not while playing game)

was playing star citizen but it has issues with my hotas

Never been interested in flight simulators (except combat sims a loooong time ago) but I have a friend who is REALLY into FSX.
As in, he actually purchased five 32" screens: 3 for a 180 view and 2 for the cockpit controls. Of course he invested as well in the top controllers for the game....
Unfortunately for him, like all of us gaming dads, he had to give up his man cave and turn it into a playing room for his 2 kids :D

Ha, I did the same. I had a projector and three other screens, my own home made cockpit with top end controllers, TrackIR, etc. Was great fun. Then I had kids... well the rest is history.

Then again, don't think I have anything to buy it with. Been saving for TrackIR for a while now, but always ended up spending the money on something more important. This time I'm afraid this money will go towards Prepar3D (because I'm sick and tired of FSX) and PMDG 737NGX for it...

OK, i've spent the best part of 30mins to an hour in order to figure out why i was getting really poor performance. I don't expect it to run at 1080p60 fully maxed out. but it turns out that the presets are really demanding...even the high preset will make the 980m chugg like fat person doing a marathon. So I did a bit more digging and discovered that the dynamic optimization + dynamic render quality settings were to blame.

So set the dynamic optimization to custom and from there you can tweak from there. it seems to flicker between 55-60 but mainly stays at 58-60 and such drops may not even be noticable without DXtory as my framerate counter.

This is the initial test config so i might tweak it later in the arvo after taking a break and playing some overwatch :p

Your system should be doing way better than mine considering it's significantly stronger. I have everything on max except MSAA, which is at 4x, and I'm getting 95% of my frames above 55 fps, with a lot of those above 60. The lowest I've seen it hit was 39.

that's the thing: i don't know if it the game's engine needs more optimization or there's something in the 362.00 driver that doesn't have some tweaks that the game needs to order to render the weather effects more efficiently?

    I'm using the 365.10s.

I have noticed that when exiting the game, it leaves the binary running as a background process, using 0% of everything and just a couple 100kb of ram - but it causes performance issues when you launch the game again.

And I'm back to Kerbal Space Program... that game sucks me in like no other ha

Fantastic game for those that haven't tried it and have any interest in space/sim/general physics etc. Hadn't played in a while, was waiting for the big move to the newer Unity engine.
