What games can the 224MB Intel 950 GMA Graphics play?

What games can the 224MB Intel 950 GMA Graphics play? As i want a budget laptop for moderate gaming. Bearing in mind the laptop is Core 2 Duo, what kind of games will the "224MB Intel 950 GMA Graphic card" play?

E.g. will it play Half Life 2 on low or medium settings?

Also what games can the X1300 play? e.g. half life 2, battlefield 2142?

it would definitely RUN half life 2... not very well.

my laptop (not this one) with the gma 950 wouldn't run it until i forced the dx7 shader path. then everything looked pretty ugly, plus i had to run it in 640x480, and it still couldn't pull off enough frames per second in a lot of situations.

i would say go to half life 1. that was a sweet game. try counter strike 1.6 and hl1 and other games from that time frame. tons of people still play cs 1.6

 

You will be able to play HalfLife2 and CSS on low, i have worse integrated graphics and it will.

As for the x1300 it should run them on medium and high probably. BF2 on medium.

Probably not very smooth, and yes for full screen.

 

the main thing for BF2142 is ram...lots and lots of ram.

1 gig min for decent speed, and 2 gigs for high settings. I ran in it 512...wow, was it ever slow.

 

Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142 will not even open with the Intel 950 GMA. The card simply is not supported. Believe me, I tried before I returned my XPS m1210.

 

Forget about playing the most modern games on GMA 950, it's not going to give the immersion into the game. Older games will run better. GMA is for Media, like watching movies, videos, pictures etc.

 

I know you can run Warcraft 3 smoothly, but its an older game and I think on lower settings...I don't remember.
