What games have you invested the most time in and how much time?

For me, I think it's:

Descent / Descent 2: >300 hours
Operation Flashpoint (original) + expansions: >300 hours
Command and Conquer Generals + Zero Hour >200 hours
Falcon 4 & Allied Force >400 hours
Battlefield 2 + expansions >600 hours
Bad Company 2 >200 hours

Wow, you people spend a lot of time playing games.

Mine:

Grand Theft Auto IV (IDK, this was back on the Xbox 360 before I got my Toshiba for. With that combined with my GTA IV PC copy, I'm guessing it would be well over 100 hours. This game is by a wide margin what I have spent the most time on).

Next would be Crysis and Crysis Warhead - I don't have this on Steam either, so I can't tell you the exact details, but with all the modding and other stuff I did to it, it would probably come to around 60 hours, maybe a little more.

Just Cause 2 - 38 hours. It takes a LOOOONG time to complete everything, I'm still only at about 30%, lol.

Call of Duty MW2 - 37 hours with multiplayer and singleplayer combined. No regrets about purchasing it, since I got it for less than half the retail price at the time. I'm not buying any of the DLC's though.

STALKER SoC - 7 hours. Only just started it recently.

Portal - 7 hours. Did two play throughs, and some advanced maps.

As you can see, I don't have very many games. Mainly because I have no time for them these days.

EDIT: Only factoring in games that I have played within the last two years or so. That's about the time I've been really into PC gaming anyway.

 

Ghost Recon (the original) - Unknown, but higher than I care to admint.
Battlefield 2 - 500+ hours
Guild Wars 500+ hours
CoD4 400+ hours
MW2 300ish.

Well, this is just for WoW, pretty much the only game Ive played seriously for the past 4 years.

This is fairly accurate. I went on to every toon on my account, and found the /played on that toon and added it up. I play WoW too much.

 

My WoW /played is about 300 days, but that's since release.

Luckily WoW isn't appealing anymore. It's basically free loot just for logging in. No challenge whatsoever, sadly.

Second place would probably be:
Command & Conquer 3 (w/KW xpack). I use to play every day for 1-2hrs.

 

Did you play on any ladders? I didn't put it on my list, but I spent about as much time on GR as I did on wow.

then a whole heap in the 100-200 hr range

 

World of Warcraft (2005-2010) over 2,000 hours (on a break now for over two months waiting for Cata)
Starcraft (1998-2010) estimated 500 hours
Diablo2 (2000 - 2003) estimated 350 hours

I have tried dozens of other games like Star Trek Online, Ages of Empires, Counterstrike, Starwars Battlegrounds and many sports simulations like Diamond Mind Baseball and OOTP1-11, but they all pale in comparison to games made by Blizzard...

Yeah, that was my life 2000-2004.

 

Batman Arkham Asylum for a month beat the game twice.

COD 6: MW2 played it since it was released till now, beat the game 4 times on all levels and since that i am playing it online.

FFXI ate up about 4 years of my life. Won't be making that mistake again any time soon...

 

Heh. WoW, not challenging? Hardly the case, I think. It is more like... there are easy sections of WoW and there are hard ones. And the problem lies in the easy sections giving loot that looks just as pretty and shiny as the hard bits.

Anyways, the games I've spent the most amount of time on? Mmmmmm. WoW, certainly. Betrayal At Krondor I've finished about 20 times, now. X-COM: Enemy Unknown, for sure. Plus Civilization - all of them XD

Just beat Darksiders today, took a lot longer than I expected. Was also a very different game than I expected.

I thought it was going to be prototype/devil may cry

But it was actually Zelda / Devil May Cry with some other small extras like Portal

Closest thing to Zelda I have played since Zelda so it made me happy.

May load up some of my mid game saves and make a little review/gameplay video for youtube.

Congrats! You'll still play. Look at Vicious and I. Vicious has a bunch of kids and I have two, and I still find time to play. I don't play nearly as much as I used to but I'm much more particular about what I play.

Probably the single game I've spent the most time on total is Halo 2 - back in middle school, I used to play that for hours. No time for games now, though, so I haven't gamed for the last couple months.
