What good fps is there for under 10 dollars on steam?

Looking for a new title to play that won't break the bank on steam. I like modern shooters like FC3 and crysis series. I did play bf3 a long time ago and it was fun but know nothing of bf4.

Only interested primarily in single player with good story line.

I was thinking bf4, titanfall... Any others?

BF4 is primarily a multiplayer game whereas Titanfall is only MP. And anyway, both are > $10

You might find Metro for less than $10. Decent games if you haven't played them. F.E.A.R games are good too.
You could also check out Bioshock. I remember seeing a deal for all 3 games for a pretty nice price. (not less than $10 though... But it'll give you 3 games which you'll be played for quite some time...)

Neither game is my cup of tea. I particularly did not like bio shock. What about tomb raider?

    Played all except Tom Clancy

Hmm I am excited for the PC release of GT5 and FC4 but is there nothing in their league in the meantime?

I recently played Alien Rage and it was a great sci-fi FPS. 7 hours of gameplay. (Can trade for it on steamtrades.com for 1tf2 key ($2.50))
Serious Sam 3: BFE (steamtrades again, was bundled)

I get a lot of my games from bundles or steamtrades, there are a lot of titles out there for cheap. I suggest browsing the forum before the steam store as there are already keys out there that are being sold cheaper than sale prices due to them being in bundles. You'll definitely get more bang for your buck and perhaps stumble upon some interesting titles. Just make sure to check their reputation before trading ^.^. Best of luck :D

How did we jump from modern shooters to Samurai Warrior? :p

Tomb Raider is a great game. I enjoyed it a lot.

Tomb Raider isn't an FPS. At least Shadow Warrior is an FPS.

For $10, all I can think of is Fear, Fallout and Half Life series.

FPS? Hard Reset, Bulletstorm, Half Life 2, Deus Ex, Painkiller: Black Edition, Quake and Doom.

Some of them are oldish but they're still good.

I was going to say Bulletstorm. Great game. Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is fun/old school too.

I think Battlefield 3 was $9.99 not too long ago. That's definitely worth $10, if you haven't already purchased it.

And yes, there are still people who play it, but it's so full of hackers, I can't stand it.

Deus Ex is absolutely brilliant if you haven't played it already.

Others aren't modern shooters that are worth a look are Call of Juarez: Gunslinger and if you haven't already you may like Borderlands.

Though if you liked tearing open flunkies like in Bulletstorm and also dig an old school feel FPS the new Shadow Warrior will bring out the sadist in you.

Not exactly $10 but give Insurgency a go. Community is great and the bots are brutal. Really good value.

Call Of Juarez Gunslinger is also a pretty good shooter if you are looking for something arcadey.

I found wolfenstein for 20 dollars so started on that yesterday. I read many had problems with 14.4 driver with 7979m but I have no issues running everything at max settings on 1080p at stock clocks.

I've played just about every game mentioned in this thread. If Shadow Warrior is <$10, it is one heck of a steal! It's just a bloody insanely action packed FPS with fantastic graphics and visuals. It has a demo too. You can try that for starters.

NeoTokyo is a free multiplayer Source mod. A bit like CS in that it's round-based, no respawning, but is class-based, with per-round rank-ups and has cool vision modes and cloaking. Really great level design, cool guns, and really rewards teamwork vs. run-and-gun. It's a bit of an older game but was just recently released on Steam.

Also check out Red Orchestra, Red Orchestra 2 and Rising Storm.
