I am buying a new laptop as my previous one has become too old to use. I don't play many games, mainly just WarCraft 3 and World of Warcraft. I want to know what kind of specs I need to be looking for to be able to play the game comfortably. I don't need it to run 100% perfect with everythin on high... I just want to be able to play it on medium (or even low) settings with low lag and delay, so that it looks decent and I can PVP comfortably.

I was mainly looking at buying an HP, something like the NX6610 or the DV4000 series computers. Those are quite cheap and still seem to be decent computers. I think the only thing that's restricting me in my choice is the graphics card though. I read several reviews online, and they say that the Intel Media Graphics Accelerator 900 128MB which comes with most of the cheaper notebooks is probably insufficient for games.

Basically I'm asking, would the Intel MGA 900 chip be good enough to play WOW on? Or do I make quite a big jump in price and go for those laptops which have the Radeon X600...
Any help on this matter would be very much appreciated!

I actually ran WoW comfortably on my Dell Inspiron 1150, which only had the integrated Intel Media Graphics and 256MB RAM. It was all right, as long as I kept the specs turned all the way down. WoW isn't too demanding, at least, not as demanding as FFXI.

The GMA 900'll likely run it alright. The GMA 900, while awful, isn't as awful as most people say, and you should be fine with it for WoW.

That said, if you make the jump to something like the Radeon X600 (or even X300), you'll see a substantial improvement in performance. Also, if you go the AMD route, many notebooks have Radeon Xpress 200M chipsets, which are the best as far as IGPs go.

Refresh of the Hp Dv4000 Series notebook with dedicated ATI x700 chip will be available on hpshopping.com September 28th.
